I’d expect some sort of NDA from the shop and the “guinea pig” (that if there was, both seemed to freely violate).

That section has really gone downhill…

It’s actually remarkable how bad the b8 s4 section has become. Sounds strange but I really think things took a turn for the worse when swank got the boot. Knowledgeable people started leaving. Don’t even believe they sold their cars.

You’d think it was a bunch of kids who are buying B8’s used, but it’s actually mostly guys with 2014’s and 2015’s. Same old shit…S4 vs M3…how much money you make…brake job costs…which exhaust…dsg vs manual…td1 tune. The signal to noise ratio is like 1e-5, and that’s just worthwhile posts.

id almost suspect at this point, the guy’s dad works for Magnuson, and he got it that way.

Interesting thought Kris… Wonder how they got a tune though? I’m still thinking the car was sent to APR and they did everything and shipped it back but who knows at this point… They won’t give me any details and I’m not going to keep bugging them…

Also, LOL at EC claiming you’ll need their garbage headers… This dude doesn’t have them so why would you need them and how would they know this? Oh that’s right it’s to make EC money…

It was when this site took hold. About 10 of the knowledgeable B8 S4 guys started posting here, and that was the start of the end. However once they gave primetime the cold shoulder and acted like morons, that sealed their fate. He was the most influential guy, doing the most work for the platform, and when they lost PT, they lost everything. Swank was barely noticeable.

To be honest though, the level of morons has always been the same. When I suggested people were whacko for claiming the B8 had 440 hp stock becuase they took an APR dyno of 330whp and asssumed 25% drivetrain loss I was attacked left and right as a B8 hater. I sugggested it was more like 360 hp , and was mobbed. Now everyone says that. When B8 morons would say the RS4 wasn’t ‘moddable’ and I pointed out that in fact the RS4 gains just about the same performance with full bolt ons as the B8 S4, again I was attacked. The forum was chock full of ignorant pinheads, and sounds like it still is. Just some of the smart people aren’t there to keep them in check.

As usual tho this AZ crazyness is why AR continues to grow and do well. AZ blocks the AR links obviously because someone sees much better content over here and dosent want to let people find out about it.

I doubt this would be less than 10K and having a manual S4 would obviously force you to upgrade the clutch. No way would I have dumped 10-13K more in my car before I sold it for a couple tenths and 3 or 4MPH of what I was able to do already.

Also the B8 S4 section on audizine is bad and has been bad for a long time. As drob said the same shit over and over but I guess that is what you get when the aftermarket for these cars is so limited.
