Tell me what tires/sizes you are running on your C6 S6.

On stock rims for now, don’t want to give the warranty company any reasons to deny a claim, but I’m wondering what everyone is using on their S6?

  • So what tires are you running?
  • What size?
  • How long have you had them?
  • How is performance?
  • How is comfort?
  • Important one for me, how loud are they on the freeway/highway?
  • Anything else?

I’m running 20x10 +44 wheels, with 275/30R20 Michelin Pilot Super Sport. This will probably be the widest and lowest offset you can use with a 275 - in fact I was running the same size in the FK453 with a lot more scrub, so it’s right on the limit.

I’ve run the PSS for about 6months, regular commute including highway and city.

What can I say about the tyres? They are awesome in all of your categories.

Thanks Paul, those were the ones I was leaning towards. Glad to hear you love em.

In case you haven’t seen it, this is a pic of Paul’s car with the 275s. Beautiful.

I will be running the same size tire on my S6 for the summers, with a similar offset.

For winters, Ill be running 265/35/19s. And probably go with an offset somewhere around et40.

This A6 is running 19x9.5s. Sorry, I dont have the wheel or tire spec (anyway, its not an S6 so the specs would only be so useful), but it will give you an idea of what the car will look like with 19s.

I am sure that this isn’t exactly what you were proabably looking for, but some winter drivers may like the info.

For summer I’ll be running 20x10et35 and 255/35/20s Achilles ATR Sport Tires. (XL 97 rated) seen good performance out of these tires on a buddy’s car, so giving them a shot. Cheap like borscht so I’m sure I’ll get some flak from the tire snobs.

I’ve ran cheaper tires before, and some of them are decent.

If they work well for your buddy, then why not give them a try.

If you dislike them or have issues, just get some better ones next time around.

BTW, I have seen that tire/wheel/offset combo on some other cars, and I think you are going to have a very tight fitment. A guy on Audizine runs that combo, and has to use a lot of camber on the rears to get them to fit.

And I think the fronts will experience some rubbing too.

Anyway, let us know how it works out. Is your car lowered?

let you know in a few weeks. car will be bagged. no concerns over rubbing. will be rolling front fenders, rear fenders will be left alone.

Cool! Rolling the inner lip and trimming the fender liner, I have done in the past on all my Audi’s, and dont have a problem with.

I just dont like the look of the pulled fender look, or when the exterior lip starts to look rolled out.

Anyway, that is just me. For your project you obviously have more extreme goals.

I guy in Europe has some custom wide front fenders for the A6/S6. Ill post some pics when I find them. Theyll allow you even MORE clearance up front. I just dont like the looks.

These front fenders are available from BKS-Tuning, and add 3cm to each side over the A6 (so 15mm per side over the S6).

I wonder if those are close in terms of width as the RS6 front fenders. That may be an option down the road, but need something better for the rear to match that upfront.

I also agree with the pulled fender look… not a fan at all or cambered out rears. not my style. My air ride won’t be to be extreme low, but rather not have to deal with Winnipeg’s crap roads (you’re in Toronto so compared to ours you roll on red velvet carpets) so I want the adjustability of the air ride. Like so many have said about the S6, it’s not a race car (no offense on your project…) and outmost comfort is the the goal. But I want to be able to drop her down while parked for a nice fitted look.

I’ve test fitted 19x10 with 235/35/19 and et35 and et25. The 35s tucked front and rear, 25s had the lip of the wheel flush with the fender. It will be tight, but again with air ride i’ll have lots of room for error. Now I’ll be looking at those fenders. Since I want bigger brakes upfront too!
