Can’t figure out what their calling 100HP from some MODS and a tune.

We had a guy with that tune on his car at the strip and he was running 12.8-12.9 @ 109 with a DSG (thus no driver error). how that’s ‘102 whp over stock’ I’ll never know.
Anyway, the article is a joke. It’s writtten by some B5 S4 lover. He asks ‘how did the Audi S4 go from being so highly sought after to being a car they could barely give away? I think it’s because of (the b6/7) a lack of tunability’. Hey shitforbrains…99% of first owner S4 buyers leave the car bone stock. You really think they give a fuck about tuning? Sure the 200 guys on the forums do. That’s it. The other 4600 per year? Don’t give a fuck about tuning.
Is this guy fucking clueless? B6/7 sales MURDERED B5 sales. Maybe he was talking about the B6/7’s lack of popularity with highschool kids in the <$4999 used market lol.
Anyway, the article shows that they dyno’d stock (297 whp/295 wtq) then dyno’d with GIAC 91 file, AWE intake, AWE exhaust…and dyno’d 320 whp/310 wtq.
so what are they talking about? The 102 whp gain was GIAC’s doctored up dyno on fatzero’s car.

I would be pissed if I invested in all of those upgrades and that was my new dyno numbers. Dyno numbers can be thrown off between a couple hours on the same day, let alone the couple months that they let pass between the stock run and modified run.
I may not love how all the B8 tunes are throwing around all the incredible dyno numbers they are receiving, but that one right there isn’t much better than stock. I never trusted fatzero’s numbers, and seeing this article just makes it that much worse.
Between this and the TD1 crap, I’m in no rush to go to the B8 bandwagon just yet although it does drive really nice :-.

I called GIAC out on Audiworld for this but they never responded.
So far 2 aricles on this 100HP+ from GIAC on the S4 seem to be a HOAX.
