Finally sold the car after 9+ fun years of ownership. Time flies when you are having a good time.

Just wanted say a quick thanks to everyone here. Felt like I got lots of forum history with y’all which started from with the infamous header discussion and pretty much JHM anything. Good times for sure and I really enjoyed sharing the result with community and the lively debate which ensued :slight_smile:

I’m most certain that this won’t be the last time you guys you see the car since it was purchased by a mechanic @ JHM. I’m most certain that means more big things will come and I get to live vicariously through the forum updates.

So I guess I’ll be signing off as B7 platform missionary for now but I’m sure I’ll still stop by to say hello or jump in on a debate for shiz & giggles in the near future.

Thanks again for all the help and support over the years!

That’s what I like reading! Almost a decade behind the wheel of B7 S4 and such a positive feedback towards ownership. Sad to see another OG go, but glad the car will stay within enthusiast circle and by the sounds of it, it’s in the right hands. You’ll be back though, the rings never let go muahahaha

Wow just realized what happened here. That sucks. Great car great guy very long history. Sorry to see you sell the car but excited not see what you come back in. You have definitely been one of the guys at the front of the 4.2 S4 mods list.

Glad you had so much fun with the car and enjoyed it for so long. Wish the best to you and the new owner alike. Don’t be afraid to stay active in the community even without an Audi though! And the final must know question is, what’d ya move on to!?!?!

Thanks for the kind words guys - I tried really hard looking for a 2015 S8 but the sensible side kicked it and ended up settling with a 2013 X5M instead to haul the troops. It was an 1 owner, 2 year lease return >19K miles, with every option possible and in monte carlo blue that I just couldn’t pass up… Looks something like this:

Already got all the windows tinted and added a chip. Spending lots of time on the forums doing research on DP/exhaust options. Really not much you can do performance-wise to this car and maybe that is a good thing so I can save some $ for the next toy. Not a slouch on the road but it’s a different animal vs the S.

Since the wife has a 3.0T Q5, I suppose technically I’m still part of the club, just moved on to another subsection :slight_smile:
