That time of the year... Made some passes today...

I ran some consistent 11.0x @ 124.xx mph this past Weds in 750-1150ft D/A on my UC set-up. Not many people were aware I switched over (I kept it pretty quiet), but I’ve been trying their 104 file using an e85/93 fuel mix (50% blend) and it works fine with an Autotech HPFP upgrade.

Full weight (including spare/jack, 2/3 to 1/2 tank of fuel that evening). Track timing wasn’t friendly on the left lane as a you noticed that it missed a few peoples (including mine) MPH. I was hoping for 125.xx mph, and my final run where I trapped 99.26mph in the 1/8 mile may have been it, but I don’t have proof unfortunately.

Saki, care to run some #'s to see if it would have been 125.xx mph?

Low great results. your car is a great example of how far these cars can be pushed. did the UC help a lot or for nothing more it looks like it make the car more consistent with a monster mph.

Prime just a few weeks left let us know how those updates help.

tsivas, Yeah that’s crazy… I’m guessing race gas but still damn!

Loe, Good stuff as always… Can’t wait to see what you run in great conditions… Hopefully, 11.8x

Justin, Rained all weekend here so no dice… Next weekend is looking iffy but we’ll see… Still need to get the tune on the car also… If it’s good weather I’ll be there one way or the other…

APRs results went from impressive to not impressive really quick.

So the actual time is 11.13@119 on real pump gas. not sure why the ricer pull the seats bit. I don’t see anyone with a 70k car thinking that pulling the seats out is a great thing to do. Or atleast I don’t I think so… it cheapens the brand to be honest.

To me unitronic isn’t a brand that I would even get excited about so the time unitronic ran is kinda not relevant. I’m used to APR setting the standard for a good strong safe tune and to be honest. 11.13 is a solid time. Not sure about the rest. Good work on the race gas time but still think the seat thing continues to be a bad move.

You’d be surprised.

Agreed Justin, but we both know that most will see the 10.5 and claim they have a mid 10sec car. APR is smart to do this as it hypes it up and creates sales even though its not realistic. 11.1 is still incredible on only a tune for that car. TT-RS must be in the 10s on just a tune

Nice passes Loe and Ron! I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ll do in slightly better conditions. Sadly, I’ve only made it out once this year…

Thanks bud! Hoping to go Sat. but it’s supposed to be a high of 36! lol Did get the new tune on the car Tues so I’m good there…

swapped in a ported blower from tampa autosports 2 weeks ago and hit the strips this past weekend, the port job really woke up the car throughout the entire rev range to where I’ll need a file revision to keep it from bleeding a few degrees on the bypass valve up top once D/A’s drop below 600ft.

I still need to work on my launches, I did a 1,500rpm launch w/o engaging LC, no amax upshifts. It was more like a traditional automatic brake-torque action, and eased into the throttle after I released the brakes.

Happy with the trap, especially that 1/8 mile trap. My 1/4 mile trap suffered as there was some boost bleed in the upper gears. Ron I sent you the logs, my cyl #3 was shit in terms of ignition corrections on that run, I’m surprised it even trapped 126.08mph to be honest…

D/A was 948ft, the baro was good at 30.28 in Hg if I recall, so it made some good boost from 1st to 4th gear.

more work to be done to chip away at the car by just a driver mod (and figuring out why cyl #3 is so active with ignition corrections), someone on the S4 FB page mentioned to use the LC sequence, but instead of matting the gas to the floor to use it to modulate the RPM to a desired level so…

yesterday out in the country roads of Mexico, I did the following

put the car in dynamic
TCS fully off
D/S mode
Left foot brake
Right foot maybe 30% throttle to hold revs at 2,000rpm
Let off the brake, clutch engages quickly
once it engages, I roll into the throttle past kickdown and off I go.

Hooked up nicely (pretty aggressive actually), full AMAX upshifts which helps with ET/Traps. Can’t wait until the track re-opens in January to try it out. In the mean time I can practice this some more to get a rhythm going.

WOW that’s a solid MPH. I really think the B8 S4s are impressive but they have always had kinda a low MPH in the 1/4 a 126 is something serious. A big change.

Any idea on what they were actually able to port to help the blowers make any more power.

I dont know the exact details, but there is more meat to be taken out of the blower and also the Ultracharger adapter tube so more to come

Always interesting to hear. Last time I read of guys talking about porting the blower apparently a few companies said there was no power left. LOL guess not.

I will say that APR has been wonderful with meeting my tuning needs, they even recently went far enough to work with my ported blower. My times don’t reflect this just yet, I’m anxious to see what Eric@APR did on this latest revision for me at the next dragstrip event.
