Anthony is fucking weird. He gave the guy a four month contract and then bans him? Then he says he hopes Fonz continues to grow…and then out of the other side of his mouth, says he is an enthusiast first and a site owner second? EPL? I can’t imagine AWE, APR or any of the big companies were too threatened with him, considering they don’t offer a competing product (thinking custom tune). 034 maybe, now that they’re trying to push that they custom tune?

dude…everyone who can read knows. Josh made it clear in his first post on the thread that AZ informed him that he is not allowed to continue on as an advertiser. Then AZ site admin stepped in and reiterated that.w Clear enough? Lol

I agree. from teh history I would put it on EPL or the 034 with there new attempt at getting into the B5. Still while jfonz is nice he isn’t exactly an elete turner and in all rights is no different then a lot of the bastment wanna bee guys

he is more of a guy that has gotten a bump from publicty then great work. Not to disscreit his work but it is what it is.

While Im not the defender of anthony. Lets face it. with all the big names advertising on AZ I thoughjt it was a bit of a joke that they let him advertise.

don’t get this wtisted. i have nothing aginsed the guy. Still when you look at it. This isn’t his day job and he isni’t going to be abel to pay 10k to fix a blown mtoor when and if he pops one. Not to mention there is the vast effect where he can just up root and move on and not care about the comunity if he wants to.

I kinda think its a dick thing that a web site that he learned from is there to help people help themselves. Not help people start a busniess of other peopels hard work and stolen files.

Don’t know the guy and haven’t really heard much about him. Still from what I see it looks like a bunch of kids doing the tuning over there. I watched the video and if your best add is a street race in traffic you shouldn’t be a top advertiser on AZ. Might need to get a little more professional

Call me a J-Fonz fanboy if you want, but it seems to me that I can remember countless videos of AWE and VAST even EPL customers postings vids of street races with their tuned products. J-Fonz just reposted some customers vids.

The comment s about J-Fonz being a group of kids is out in left field, Josh isn’t 21yrs old hanging out in his parents basement, J-Fonz is a legitimate tuning company as was shown with their Pikes Peak car, several custom tuned single turbo cars, multiple E85 770 cars, developed a solid E85 tune for K03 powered cars. I am just getting tired of listening to some of you guys spew bullshit like “don’t get this wtisted. i have nothing aginsed the guy” and followed with "I kinda think its a dick thing that a web site that he learned from is there to help people help themselves. Not help people start a busniess of other peopels hard work and stolen files. " In my personal experience Josh has written files from scratch utilizing some of the tools used on ********** as well he has added other tuning programs.

I am tired of hypocrites who deal in half truths and have no basis for any claims they make.

Eyespi there will always be people with different opinions on everyone as we have seen on the site. Fortunately we can all share those opinions whenever we want without them being muted or deleted.

I found josh a nice guy and he’s in a tough spot creating a start up tuning company. Lots of established companies and fans of those companies may not embrace him initially. He will have a tough road to hoe for a while but if he is doing well, he will stand on his own and earn everyone’s respect. His cars are definitely fast so that is a good thing. There are a couple of very fast quartermile times from jfonz cars, and I regularly see threads from jfonz customers winning competitive races.

hey man. Simle facts.

fonz tunes from his house and this isn’t his full time job.
fonz has admitted to useing a stolen patch code for part of his programs
fonz is using a templet from a site taht got its start and advancements from reverse engeneering other tunes.
while dude is changing things and tuning this has no bearing on if its done right or if its a good tune.
fonz has been called out by other tuners for stealing there files. Fonz has also been called out by jared here for playing with fire and not knowing 100% of what he is doing.

I know people like you hate facts cause they shed real light on things but thats how it is. calling him ligit with supporing that because he has tuned single turbo cars E85 ko3 cars and a car that was in a pikes peak race is a clear stretch that your looking for somwething to grab on.

I tuned several colbolt turbo cars before they came with them. I have tuned several Ls1 turbo cars. At least I have enough understanding to say Im just someone that can tune and taht Im not a tuner.

In some respects fonz is like the Tial stuff. people hoping that they can find a gold mine of power in a cheap package. That seems to be the B5 way…good luck that… seems to not be workoing

This is the third or fourth time you have mentioned being a big shot tuner of GM products, yet you don’t call yourself a tuner. You have also mentioned your book about tuning, how does that not make you a tuner.

Tuning is not as dark arts as some people make it out to be, everyone can do it, some do it better than most, and then others make up the top 1-2%. Is Josh top dawg? Probably not, but given some time I think that his skills will continue to grow with or without the support of anyone on this site or AZ.

I am confused about your involvement within the B5 crowd, you seem to hate them platform and pop up in most threads spewing shit.

I don’t care if you have been driving/tuning Audi’s since way back OG style, I just don’t think you are that special

I have no skin in this game. Yet from what I remembered. Jfonz himself admitted to using stolen code and said he should stop using it.

I also believe jfonz admitted this was something he is doing on the side.

I also saw where Jfonz directed many people to the ******* website saying thats where he got a large amount of his help.

I also remember seeing one of the members call jfonz out saying that he didn’t know what he was doing and he is playing with fire.

I don’t know anything about the rest of the conversation.

I just think you don’t like the FACTS. Seems he didn’t just fact check he posted words direct from the guys mouth. Seems the only accusation is that this Jfonz guy is a legit tuner.

havent been on here in a few days but this is new news to me. I will say this…Josh is a awesome dude and everything he has learned and did as far as i know has been on his own with the help of ****oto. So with that said he helped me a lot when he first started and this was without charge or anything. Not saying that he didnt just reverse engineer what other people had done to figure out how to tune cause obviously that wouldnt be true. As far as i can see it without that sites software which allows you to read and write to an ecu he wouldnt know anything at all. But as far as i know most companys start by learning what someone else has done and figuring it out on there own in order to sell a product. Josh is a smart guy and will go very far with just the little bit of knowledge he has gotten from that site. Sorry if i dont know all of the facts but as said i dont think he has stolen anyones tunes he just found a software that allowed him to read and write and by using stock ecu maps he learned how to adjust maps and change code in order to make a great product

There are lots of nice people. Generally people who don’t have something worth charging for don’t charge. Why would he charge you if he got all the information for free. He and others that do things this way don’t need to charge. This is why china will sell you the first knock off parts they want you to sell for next to nothing.

Go buy the actual information. Test and test and test on your car, loose countless amounts of time and parts from pushing the limits. Then see how much you give away for free.

China much like these people. Will take an engineers hard work from say the USA. Hard work that took years to figure out. Millions of dollars in R&D and time only to then copy and change what they see fit. Then people WOW over how great the product is. When in the spectrum anyone could have done the same.

This isn’t meant to bash but to reveal a way of looking at this. I don’t know the guy personally, I just see stuff like this a lot.

yea i understand everyones’s reasoning for getting on a guy who took what he learned from one site and turning it into a business but personally i had a Vast tune on my B5 before they went out of business and just don’t know what to do as my car sits right now. I’m in the process of tuning it myself but in no way am trying to make a business out of it. If i wanted to spend a shit ton of money(which i already spent with Vasts) I’m sure i could get a tune from 034 or someone else but the only tuner i know of on the east coast is epl or induktion which is only 20 mins away from me but induktion used vast tunes which is why i went with them. So the guy went in on a market that wasn’t really being looked into anymore for custom tunes by big named companies and took advantage of it. Do i see him getting into brand new vehicles like APR GIAC or Unitronic? no not really cuz he doesn’t have the experience or know how to even get involved. with that being said do i think it was right? Sure everyone has big dreams of moving up in the world…but do i think when he has some problems where someones motor is blown or a other issue will he keep his good name? no hell be just like vast where he will go down because the internet can cause more problems then good for someone who doesn’t keep good with there customers and try and make things right
