Yeah poser I think. Silver mirrors on an audi are basically an s/rs badge. Not much of a design feature. In fact many think it’s weirdly contrasting and doesn’t look good.
Tough call. When I see A4s with silver mirrors, and debadged I just think to myself “just buy an s4 already”.
I’ve actually taught my wife to spot posers. She will even say “I saw an A4 with polished mirrors today, thought it was an S4 at first but then I realized he was just wishing it was”
I personally don’t like the mirror housings on the S/RS, but they are as significant as the badge.
Do something like CF if you want to be different, but S6 housings will always be poserish…
Originally the plan was to do CF but I’ve had a hard time finding any carbon fiber mirror housings that look decent. I ordered one set, which looked the best online, and they were just glue on mirror caps that looked like garbage. Guess I’ll have to keep searching.
Or you could just buy an S6.

of course with a tune and a decat, an S6 could be a monster. There’s 500 hp in that car waiting to get out.
If I ever go S6, it will be the C7. Really excited to see what happens with the C6 v10 though.
C6 V10 is such a cool engine. Love the sound. CountVohn had his eyes on one a while ago but I think that plan has moved on. There must be like 11 of those cars on earth and 9 of the owners will never tune them or do anything, so it’d be more of a fun private project than a JHM business idea.
What does a stock C6 S6 run in the 1/4 mile? We don’t have any in our database.
Ynnek - definitely agree on the new S6. If I needed a large 4-door sedan, that would probably be my first choice.
