David, I assume you are on version 11.11.3? Here are the new fields… Just check the names to make sure…
Engine speed/RPM is 25
bypass valve is 625
throttle position is 13 and accelerator position is 16
ignition advance is 222 and timing retard by cylinder is 216-221
Few more just in case you need them…
mass air flow is 345
boost pressure is 360
requested boost pressure is 623
IAT is 556
I’m almost positive it has to do with the wheel(s) slipping causing the ecu to pop into a semi limp mode. I believe I feel the sensation more so as per wheel and tire combo I believe I’m the lightest. I’ve been able to break all four wheels loose, on pump gas, with stage 2 only generating 13ish PSI of boost (the intake problem I had mentioned Jay) on regular roads or at the strip. This also supports my observation that it has become more problematic as once I fixed my intake issue I have noticed boost at 15.2psi on V1 tune.
I agree with you 100%! I will religiously check tire pressure and warm them up before each run. I know that it wasn’t causing much of an issue when you took my car down and I believe it was your pre-run ritual that as you say “eliminates the problem”.
He had claimed 230lbs… He removed the front seat, back seat, all the mats and carpeting, some of the trunk lining, spare and tools, all plastic on motor, plastic over the battery and such, etc. I thought it sounded a little high weight wise but he said they weighed it all at the shop that helped him do it… Who knows… Also, like I mentioned he had 18inch BBS wheels, no sport dif, and almost no gas as he brought 3-2 gallon cans and was adding after a few runs… Not that he counted that in the 230lbs…
Thanks for the props… Will be back this Sat. as we got rained out last weekend… Forecast is for overcast skies and a high of 44 degrees… 11.6x? Will post when I get home either way… later Ron
Saki, He didn’t go… I couldn’t go and he said he wanted to get some time with the mods before hitting the strip… He is young and a little naive but he will post his times as he isn’t trying to hide anything… He won’t run 11.8 now in 70+ heat as the DA will be nearly 2500 and 3000 if it gets into the 80’s, which is why I haven’t gone either… Also, I think I mentioned before but Thompson is by far the worst real track in Ohio as it’s at the highest DA and is almost always preped very poorly… The only reason I go there all the time is because it’s 10-15 minutes from my house… Norwalk is over an 1.5 hours away…
I know he wants to beat me(or his mod shop more so) so he plans to gut the car again for our next visit… I told him to wait until the fall to do that but it’s his car so whatever… With his added mods and a good cool day with a nice DA it will run 11.6x I’ll bet you a coke on that… I may have to be the driver though… lol
Also, like he mentioned on AW there was a big event this weekend “Asphalt Wars” that usually draws a very large crowd… I couldn’t go as I was in Pitt for my wife’s birthday with her family… If he wants to go this Sat. I’ll go for fun but times won’t be the greatest as it is going to be in the 80’s… Wouldn’t mind seeing if I can break into the 11’s in 3000+ DA… Oh and if I go and he is there, results will be shared regardless as I think you know I always post my times, good or bad…
