Thanks man! I tend to agree with the I5 statement! Hate to say it but I’d rather be in my 200 any day of the week over my B5 Too bad they don’t have a section for ancient superior Audi’s on this forum, lol.
Lol. Back when the name was created AMD had beat Intel for the race to 1ghz! I was and still am a fan of AMD however I now run all Macs with intel i7 processors.
We’re both located in Albany, NY.
Yes, my 200 was the one on jalopnik.
The video was created using two of my DSLR’s. Canon 5dmkii with a 35L was used for the side angle and the rear shot was a Canon EOS 7D with and 85L lens.
Probably unnecessary if I’m the only poster and viewer. I’ll just share it in the B5 section. Lol. Thank you for offering though.
I’ll have all this information for you as soon as my car is finished. I don’t feel any need to hide the results. If the product turns out to be unimpressive it’s not like its my fault.
No it just means that you’re missing the big picture. If you’re destroying the car in pursuit of records that it is hard to get other people to care about, maybe you should step back and think about it.
As for jhm cars keeping performance close to their chest, explain that. They’re literally the only b5 2.7t tuner who take their cars to the quarter mile and show performance testing. The other tuners sell you a dyno sheet, then heap the testing onto their customers. Jhm go to the dragstrip, the standard acceleration test for every platform including the b5
They do it behind the scenes, on their own cars, before releasing a product. I think that’s pretty cool.
You want them to endorse:
logs (a measuring stick that can be faked)
dynos (a measuring stick that can be faked)
60-130 (a measuring stick that hides weaknesses)
They instead want everyone to realise that if they start endorsing the dyno or logs as ‘proof’, it opens the door to bullshit artists and scammers. If they endorse 60-130 on its own without a 1/4 mile to back it up, they are opening the door for cars that are full of warts to be considered ‘proven’.
i have something in the works with Jason right now. more infor when i get the product in my hands. once all on and together, better believe i will be testing it at the track!!!
^^^pinoy is a great example. Lots of people like to say ‘JHM kills their own shop cars in order to go this fast’. KillerS4 has used that as an excuse for JHM being so much quicker than him in the quarter mile.
But is that an accurate thing to say? I would certainly agree that Dan’s K03 record (12.2 just like KillerS4 lol) was made at the expense of his K03 turbos. However there have been other K03 cars within a whisper of that record, driven by customers.
The B6/7 S4 records JHM set were all matched or beaten by their customers.
The RS4 records JHM set were all matched or beaten by their customers.
The K04 B5 record JHM set was not matched by anyone, however pinoyS4’s car got pretty close.
The latest RS6r 10.8 @ 130 record they set will surely be matched or even beaten by a customer. I have no doubt about it. None of their customers with built motors have taken the RS6r to the strip yet. We have however seen one RS6r customer driven car. It went on stock motor, on a pump gas file, and ran 11.7 @ 125. With maybe a better launch (it as a 1.8 60’ time) and better DA, that car could certainly see 11.5. That’s stock motor…
They don’t brew up crazy setups and then sell something different to the public. if someone with a well sorted car with a built motor and RS6r turbos and good supporting mods goes to the dragstrip with density altitude at or near zero, I see no reason why with some good driving they can’t put down a 10.8-10.9 @ 130. If you’re not a great driver, and have that setup, I see no reason why you can’t go 11.0 @ 129-130.
