THIS is why I have a problem with the B8 forums...

Four different guys shit-talk the 4.2 FSI as a ‘fail’…since clearly none of them have a fucking clue that RS4s with tune+full exhaust are as fast as ANY pump gas B8 S4. It’s so fucking sad. You guys should educate your forum brethren not to be so fucking ignorant. They’re just flat clueless.

So I post some facts about the RS4…and say NOTHING about the B8…and now my watch is just counting the minutes before one of these guys calls me a B8 hater lol. Hey fucktard…how about your buddies?

  1. RS4 STOCK is as fast or faster than the B8 S4 on just about any track on earth
  2. RS4 with tune + full exhaust is as straight line fast as any B8 S4 on pump gas on earth
  3. RS4 is about $10,000 cheaper, not more expensive than the B8 S4 thanks to it being older
  4. RS4 with tune/downpipes/catback/intake spacers/tune is about $4000 in mods. That’s tune + catback money in B8 S4 world. Add in pulley/stageII, intake, highflow cats and you’re looking $6,000 right in the face.
  5. RS4 makes 90% of its torque from 2200 to 7600 RPM. How the fuck is that peaky?

I get it if you like your car, but don’t shit talk another platform if you’re stone-cold ignorant. This whole ‘NA sucks’ attitude makes me laugh so fucking hard. So they’d rather not have RS5 type NA performance…they’d rather have to tune the SC to boost it as hard as they can + pulley it to boost it even harder + de-cat + buy catback exhaust + buy an intake…all for what…to be 1 tenth quicker to 100 mph, and 0 tenths quicker to 60mph than a bone stock RS5??? This mentality shows how stupid people really are. They’d rather work like fuck for the same performance.

Once again, this ‘brush’ does not mean to paint the whole B8 forum membership as misinformed, rude, ignorant. This is a small but vocal group of B8 folks who earn one of these titles (and in rieger’s case, all 3 and then some). However there are a bunch of folks who are absolutely clueless out there and it really is funny.

Ignorance is what it is. With the quick success that the B8 guys have seen some seem to think they have 11sec cars.

paper racing is what there doing. In short I look at a good chunk of the B8 guys as excited and informed. I don’t think there massively informed as that will take more time with the car and more general information.

In the end you don’t expect to see small minded people making a large valuable comment. This guy seems to be a classic mental case riegerman;24222735. The only way someone can get that lost in a factless comment is if your drunk AND retarded. I think this comments support that he is indeed both.

While I support the great success of the B8 I choose to support only those that are shown to have some class. Take our very own primetime. He is the fastest B8 there is and appears to be one of the nicest as they come. maybe its the slower they are the more B5ish they are

hahahahaha that made me laugh. like I’ve said in previous posts, every platform has those people, after a while when the masses leave a platform and go to the next “great thing”, the dedicated people are left over. I’m sure in time there will be very valuable members like saki, brian dimitri etc in the b8 world. i mean hell think back to when the b6/7 s4 and rs4 forum was still new, there were plenty of douchers posting up(some still do) but the hard core guys are the ones that are really left over and they’re the ones that are most knowledgable in the platform and who i enjoy hearing from.

The best example of the B8 guys being off is that B8 S4 vs. 335 thread. On audizine, it was a ‘BMW guys are douchebags…let’s go get em!’ On the E90post thread, the BMW guys were basically saying ‘that new S4 is a great car’ and they were totally civil. Truth is that half that forum is E90 owners from the Toronto area, and I’ve met a ton of them. It’s a huge group of mostly Asian guys from just north of Toronto, and they’re nice as hell, smart, polite guys. Pretty funny because they’re the last guys you’d call a douchebag.

yea i don’t even bother to open those threads. i gotta sort through a bunch of crap on AZ to find actual valuable posts. there’s a select few members i go to for questions, advice, input Ron being one of them. the rest of the people are just filler. and every now and then there’s a funny ass thread like that giovanni thread. i just cant wait for APR’s tuning monopoly to be over, i think it would change the forum feeling for the better. it gets boring comparing apples to apples tuning. i want competition.

P.S. on a side note i had to make a decision, i had to work this weekend so i had to choose a day. originally i was going to go to a dyno day today and the track tomorrow. i chose the track tomorrow cus those results would be more exciting, just sucks i couldn’t do both for the factual side of things… o well

Rich, let me know if you are going to Atco again this year. If the car is fixed I want a base line run or two stock so I can compare in the sprint time when I put the go fast bits on.

Not that I can tell. Logs are ok, butt dyno says good… I’ll check to see if they have a test & tune during the week, my weekends are packed for the forseable future.
