Hey all,
I’m in the middle of doing my timing service on my car and I’m currently torquing the camshaft bolts to the final torque. I tightened the left side bolt on the drivers side head, followed the Bentley manual and removed the camshaft holder tools. Went to put the hall sender tool back on and it didn’t line up with the bolt it sits on top of on the left side.

My question is should it be off a little bit. I can get the tool back on if I move the adjuster then it lines up. Is my timing off a tooth when I installed the mech adjuster?

yes i asked this on another forum, got one decent answer but this forum is a little more hands on so i hope to get a few more in depth answers
