bora - did you buy ngng’s S4?

I’ll go whenever. Saturday works well. But I’m pretty easy.
Saturday makes sense for you bango. Then you just have to come the rest of the way to Pearson. Better than than trekking east two days in a row.
Maybe we should make it Saturday?
The M3 and RS4 are good for both I think.
I’ll go for a couple hours, whatever day you guys go.
No S4, I’ll bring something different… Gotta see what I can scrounge up for rear tires though since there are only 255s on it now and it will shred them pretty easily.
Alright Saturday it is for me and saki at least then + RS4/M3. I’ll be there for opening. Weather looks the same both days although Friday looks a bit wet. Hopefully the track is dry for Sat. If it’s a no-go weather wise, then we’ll go Sunday as a backup.
CLOSED SAT 3RD NOV
81bear - if you go solo on Sunday, don’t forget a camera and get at least a pic of the car with the number if you’re breaking any records! Or at least a witness from another platform, sometimes there are cars with lxforums stickers.
jspazz - NSX?
With the beinefficientit of hindsight, the ideal track rental for a day might’ve been Sparta - the MI crowd could’ve come easily. Maybe something to think about for next year. I bet the Sparta owners would be too.
Alright Saturday is good.
Let’s maybe try to get some photos this time.
Speaking of which… didn’t Axel take some rolling shots last time?
^^^ he did but he hordes his photos.
He has all our car photos printed in black and white, all taped to his wall in a giant collage like Joe DeVola, with red marker circling the ones he likes.
No, 270hp NSX only shreds its RA1 tires laterally.
It’s the 493hp s600tt.
I found a set of old 275/40 Bridgestone RE050s on the original 9" 18s rears. Almost to the bone, though…but they’ll have to do.
Any predictions? It’s never seen a track.
Bear, if you’re alone on Sunday, I may come then instead…I have stuff to do around the house that I am reminded was supposed to be done on Saturday…
It will run like your B8 S4 did when it was stock but at better mph
Mid 13s at 109 is NTT guess for an s600
Why not just bring your S4 ?
With traction = mid 12’s No traction = high 12’s low 13’s…
Have fun guys and get some vids if possible… Pulling for Bear to break the record! Not sure Thompson will be open Sat. so hopefully they run Sunday…
I wanna see the limo go down the 1320
Okay guys have fun!
I have a wedding to attend all day Saturday so I will be there Sunday bright an early.
Jspazz - company is always welcome so if Sunday works for you please come join me.
PT - Thanks bro!
Any tips are always appreciated? I’m pretty concerned about traction so I think I’m going to run 27-30psi in the front and 23-26psi for the rears. any thoughts?
Bear, If it empty(IE you can get many passes), start at 36 in the front and 30 and the rear… If it doesn’t spin stay there or even go up, if it spins got down 2psi per pass… I would go as low as 23psi as that is pretty low on street tires at 115mph, especially if it is windy or damp… The higher you can go with the better… Hoping you can get a 1.6x 60ft time… Make sure to shallow stage as best as possible, remove tools and spare, 1/8 tank and keep her straight! Just the basics as you are well aware of but with a 40 degree temp you have great conditions… BP is not looking the best and hopefully it goes above 30 and 30.2 would be really nice but doubtfull… I just have a weird feeling you are going to run real well and hope I am right… Most of all have fun and be safe…

if he comes, we’ll do a run with you in the backseat, helmet on, and film it.

I will have to address my tire pressure this weekend (for the first time ever).
Last time was crap.
I’ll go Sunday with Bear…I’d say bright and early because I’ll have to leave early afternoon to try to finish a home bathroom reno.
Bango, if you want I’d be happy to chauffeur you down the strip, lol, that would be hilarious.
Prime, agreed with you on pressures. You know I never thought about the resistance of going too low on the rears, I go down to 27 but ill have to think about that in the future. At ATCO, Matt went right down to 17 when he showed up for our ‘race’, I was on the pavement laughing. Although with this car I may need to do something similar. Already figured out how to go into Dyno mode, so all the TC is off, I may try with partial or full TC too though. There’s a very slow throttle response in the car which hurts any attempt to modulate wheelspin.
Saki, if you come Sunday I promise I’ll give it my best to make your car look slow, but I agree with Ron, it’s probably in the same ballpark, and I’d have to run you down…
I’ll be there Saturday. It’s ok, we all know you’re dodging by going Sunday.
At least you can get some footage of Bear’s car farting out a record (potentially).
Hey, The only reason I asked is to make sure we’d meet, thats why I emailed you and called you names…:-).
I’d happily show you the way to the timing boards, Saturday or Sunday, but only if it’s guaranteed we’ll line up. Let me know if you want me there…sounds like you do, though. Bear, you may be on your own…you can borrow my GoPro if you need it…I’m on the way to the track.
yeah, I don’t frankly know much about what your car runs, but if you want to make it some kind of competition, that’s fine.
Your car would run mid to high 12s when new, with good traction. Of course your car was new when ‘In Da Club’ was a hot new single. Not so sure 9 years of abuse and who knows what maintenance has done to the result…and 4 degrees on summer tires on a RWD car should mean you’re good for 2.2 second 60 foot times.
I should add that if you run 11.2 @ 125, and I run 12.9 @ 108, it won’t make me like my RS4 any less. You seem hellbent on trash talking and putting down the RS4 platform for some reason. Seems a bit odd for you to care so much about putting down another car you don’t really know much about.
So lets say 10am at burloak/401 petro for those that wanna meet up there?
Play nice, boys! Their website does say “call office before heading out”: http://www.torontomotorsportspark.com/dragway/
Anyone have any trouble with them not opening when it wasn’t raining?
