Porsche guys are so picky and such purists. The GT3 is the pinnacle to them, but putting basics GT3 parts (shifter, end links, etc) on another car depreciates the other cars value because it’s a “modded” Porsche lol.

The latest GT3 appears to have also ditched the Metzger engine. The purists are pouting.

…at the same time, I can kinda see where they are coming from on this one.

The fact that the GT3 was the only NA 996/997 that retained the Metzger engine is what kept those cars from being included in the massive clusterf*ck with all the other engines blowing up.

That being said, the 991 GT3 is my current dream car. It looks insane! 9000 RPM redline

I still think that was pure marketing, and that the tooling was redone and they just casted in that 964 stamp to make people think its the same short block.

No shit. How much longer did they really think they could keep that up. I cringe at the thought of being in gridlock traffic in a 100k+ car and worry about overheating.
