New member here. I have a 2008 S6 I purchased recently. I’m not new to Audi’s though. I also have a 2005 3.2 A6.
On some of the other C6 Audis there was a software update and a different ATF was used. ZF6 would be upgraded to ZF6+ or ZF8 fluid. Did this happen on the S6? I would like to do a ATF change on my transmission but not sure what fluid I need. I tried searching but couldn’t really find anything S6 specific.
If there is anyone else that has the same questions. My transmission fluid was the gold colored ZF6 fluid , not updated ZF6+, or ZF8.
ZF and all 6 speeds Generally you can if you wish you can bump your ZF6 to + or if you want lots of us have moved over to redline fluid. Just make sure to drain all of the fluid and replace
Please explain, what type of redline fluid? And how to totally drain the tranny fluid. Thank you
