TT-S conversion completed

I have this posted on 2 other forums, but i figured since this section doesnt see any action id toss it here.

due to some unforeseen circumstances, it looks like i will be doing a tt-s conversion to my car. The conversion will include the following

TT-S front bumper cover
TT-S front grille (pre-facelift)
TT-S fog light grille covers (pre-facelift)
TT-S side skirts
TT-S rear valance with rear fog light
TT-S aluminum mirror caps
TT-S polished quad tip muffler
MY2011 RNS-E with Media button and LED screen

the car was bought used 3-4 months ago so there was some cosmetic imperfections that i had addressed while the front end was being fixed up. this meant alot of the car was going to be resprayed. i didnt opt for another colour as i truly love the Sahara Silver finish. I should have the car back middle of next week, so i will add more pics then

That’ll be pretty cool. I’m in a similar position as at some point I’ll be getting some body work done - nearly every panel has some imperfection. I think you’ve made a good choice going for an upgraded look.

What’s happening with the A6 poking its nose out in the last pic/

yea man, turns out a real good buddy of mine is a re-seller of jfonz at his shop in hamilton. i will most likely go that route once i have some mod money again. i miss driving it :’(

Didn’t realise jfonz has resellers. He should call himself the chief engineer or something! Which shop is it in Hamilton? I imagine that information would be useful to someone.

my buddy John co-owns a shop called DSI Customs, i think its as of recent he started. i think he helps log customer cars and sends the data back to jfonz and that kind of stuff.

after a few days of delays, the car was ready for me today. i still need to install the TT-S muffler and change the grille badge to the S-LINE or the Quattro badge. muffler should be going on tomorrow. i really like how the rear fog light turned out too [:)]

im actually surprised how well the exhaust sounds. since the valve isnt hooked up, it stays open the entire time. ill have to take a video as it sounds great.

wow that looks WAY better

what’s the valve in the exhaust all about? Is there a button to control it? Make sure you cap the vacuum line properly (if that’s what is the actuator).

p.s. silver mirrors are gay. I’d ditch those. They’re like an S/RS badge.

haha thanks man, ill show you the exhaust next time we are at the same meet. On the TT-S and RS they have valved exhausts that activate with a sport button (i think like your RS4.) However on the mk2 tt 3.2 they stopped doing valved exhausts so i dont actually have any vacuum going to it so the valve just stays open. it sounds much meaner then a stock tt-s for sure.

i agree about the mirrors, but i have them on my a6 too so it seemed fitting to put them on this car :smiley:

Where’d you and your cousin get the 2010+ RNSe units? NY07RS4 is looking for one and saw $1500 as the price, but you knew a much better price/seller.

You need some forced induction so your TT"s" drives the part…definitely looks the part! Congrats
