Hello,
I would like to request a tutorial so to speak for beginners who have never used or know anything using VAG that would be helpful, I know I could use this and I’m sure there are other people. I have not puchased one yet but was told it is highly reccomended but since I have no knowledge of how to use one then it makes it hard to want one. Is there any basic info anyone could share?
are you talking about the VAGCOM devices for reading and modifying stuff in our cars computers?
The system is pretty self explanatory. It has a few things on it that through you for a loop but for the most part its not that bad. If I knew how every little thing worked Id do a video.
Several of the technical members I’ve invited to the site are working on this in both a video and picture tutorial
I know I have a lot in the works for the 3.0 guys video wise. Ill have to get moving on this sooner. I also know a few of the techs have some stuff in the works as well.

I was pretty clueless when I got mine, and started off by just doing the basic scan for codes, but as mentioned it really isn’t that bad to use. There’s a lot of GREAT info on the RossTech site, and I’ve saved some of those pages as book marks. I suggest just reading around some, but it would be nice to have one clearcut explanation on how to use and all the tools that are at your disposal. Remember though, with the cheap cable, there may be some areas you’re locked out of, but for 98% of the things you’ll use the cable for, it will never be an issue.
