Has anyone used the ROSS-TECH VCDS to test compression?

What was the procedure step by step?

I looked it up on the ROSS-TECH wiki but it was not specific.

That is not possible…there would need to be a sensor in the cylinder. Maybe this is an option on newer vehicles, but definitely not a B6 A4.

It’s a pretty basic easy test with a compression test kit. PM me if you need the instructions for your specific engine.

Or if your nice ask euro to post a DIY.

Can you post a link to the compression test in vag com your talking about. Like euro said maybe on new cars but I’m not sure how that would even work.

As We all figured. There is NO sensor so there is NO test.

There are other ways to find out information using a NOT so simple output test.

I’m kinda lost on what you are trying to accomplish here??

I know I’ve read the newer diesels can tell you pressure difference between cylinders.

I was trying to find a way to tell if there was compression loss.

That was all.

It is still a mechanical test with a gauge. Just go rent a gauge from Auto zone and do it. It is that easy.
