Water on floorboard

Anyone know what to check when it comes to having a good amount of water on the floor boards. It’s been on the driver’s side front and rear. It happens when It rains and happens more so when it rains and I’m parked on my inclined driveway. It had been happening on and off lightly getting damp but last night the rear floor had about an inch of standing water on it. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

I’m not exactly surefir this car, but usually the best place to start for pooling water is clearing the sunroof drains.

And air conditioning & phenum chamber drains

Sunroof drains seem to be good. For the plenum drain is it under the blower motor?

I’ve got this problem when it rains really hard as well. I think the sunroof drains are blocked right where it hits the A-pillar. Any tips on how to clear them? I’ve tried to snake a cable from below and above, but I can’t seem to get past the block.

Rained hard again this morning. And knew there would be some water and there is about 3 inches of standing water in the back drivers side floor. I am on a incline. And I can see on the driver’s side floor where it is coming through from up under the pedals but still not sure what to check on the outside of the cabin to find it and fix it.

Have you put a garden hose in the plenum chamber and confirmed the drains are not clogged? I fear water is filling and spilling in thru the hvac… maybe

Yesterday I put 2 gallons down the drains and not a drop of water came into the car. So today my buddy works at safelite so he had me bring it in to look at the windshield and he did a air test first and didn’t have any luck with it but they we ran a hose on it and slowly worked our way up the driver side along the seam of the windshield and starting low it had nothing and he got about halfway up and instantly had water start in. He moved back down and it stopped and repeated it and same thing happened. So he thinks the windshield is the culprit. He told me the windshield had been replaced, previous owner, and he thinks that it was a poor job and the window seems to be slowly moving. Plus now it is down so half of the Vin tag is covered so windshield will be replaced and hopefully no more water comes into the car.

it’s a great feeling when you can actually find the source of a problem. I hate the guesswork with these cars…

I’m not going to say I found the source until It’s done and no water comes in but I am very hopeful at this point.
