That jeep was nasty man, was it supercharged? it had to be…

Yeah it was def boosted either turbo or blower not sure… The plate said boosted and the car had a monster front mount lol…

Good stuff! Thanks for sharing…

Nice runs. That jeep was a beast. It’s nice having in car video because you can never tell how fast the cars are and how much distance is between the cars. How’s your clutch holding up?

I have a P3 gauge that I use to clear the P0430/P0420 cat codes that pop up every once in awhile (headers). Does this clear adaptation each time? I cannot find anything in their manual that says so.

Clutch is as solid as it was on day one.

Why are you bouncing RPMs on launch? It’s not necessary or helpful, it’s not a b5 s4. Try holding RPMs… More consistent. Also be careful You slipped into second there.

P. S. That jeep is really fighting physics to go 11.0 @ only 122. Incredible. Would love to see his 330 and 660 times. Bet they’re incredible

Saki, Pete posted the slip with the jeep???..

Jeep was launching insane. Was such a cool sight. Also he was a friend of a friend and I found it was supercharged with 560whp. A friend of mine has one doing 9.3@155

I don’t know why I bounce the RPM’s lol, I kind of picked up the habit from watching B5 S4 videos so that’s probably why. I’m actually having GIAC write me a file for a 3200rpm launch control so it can hold it there so I can just launch and not have to look down. I also ordered a stainless clutch line I think it might help the 1-2 shift bc it seems to help that slipping problem from what I’ve read. It’s not a convential slip it feels more like the throttle getting stuck for a second- hard to explain…

Yup it’s the above slip lol…

oh yeah, cool. didn’t look as I was on my phone and just thought the other cars were covered up

he was on pace for a 10.92 or so, for all intents and purposes, however it appears that the car gave up a full 1.5 tenths just fighting its brick wall aerodynamics.

just make sure you can launch without launch control because otherwise if you are bogging at 3200, you’re fukt.

That’s why I said that B5 comment lol. People used to always sweep into the RPM. Problem is it’s very tough to nail perfectly, and for racing someone from a dig, it’s tough to time perfectly.

I disagree. Bouncing rpms between 3500 and 4k, gave me the only two 1.7xx 60ft i nailed in my 6MT. Of course there are other factors, however, with my experiences, mostly with vag cars, if you catch it just right, it will snap your fucking neck lol!
Holding rpms doesn’t work due to something along the lines of " no engine load" hard to explain, but i do what works best for me.
New trick i also discovered is holding 1st gear for a slight bounce off the limiter before shifting into 2nd. Try it
