so for fun I thought I would give you guys a chance to guess what I ran at the track yesterday. Im on the stock ECU and TCU still rocken the stock Dp’s.

I wasn’t really preped to goto the track. I have my heavy RS4 reps on a spare in the trunk. I was on 93octane a few odds and ends in the car. I just felt that it would be a good bentch mark. Lets be honest most of us are going to want to goto the track when we have some mods added. So I was at the track with my buddy and his diesel Truck having some fun so I decided I would give a few runs for fun I got 4 runs total.

SO lets put out the thoughts on how fast a 120,000 mile 3.0 car with updated coil packs and plugs is. Regardless of how fast the ECU and TCU are soon going in and Im waiting for the JHM Dp’s

I was trying to brake TQ the car but the throttle safty stop kept hitting. Even the most steller 60ft was a 2.2 just so that helps give some hints.

So feel free to guess away.

Bone stock auto with extra weight? I’d say rod probably has a pretty bang-on estimate. I’ll guess 16.21 :stuck_out_tongue:

If I was to use deductive reasoning I would say 16.4ish ~.2

The magazines back in the day had the manual at 15.9 so add the years and a little powerloss due to a more restrictive exhaust over time and the few extra lbs that would about do it.

For the sake of excitment 15.9 that would be great. So for the sake of excitment 15.9 yahhhhhaaa

For the argument I don’t think we need proof that you went 16+ I think we can all take your word for it. This should spare you a little shame hehehe

I think he is letting us all get our votes in.

Having a 3.0 Autobot and knowing 1/4 mile feel. Im going to say 16.4@84 give or take a few MPH.
I would like to thing chipped both ECU and TCU that we can pick up 1full second and 10mph

I know a stage 2 1.8T runs 15.4-8, and we remember how close motorsports car was to keatons.

on a side note looks like lots of new 3.0 members over here. Some guys from AZ seem to be coming over (for good reason) and a few other new ones. I wanted to give any new guys that might want to a chance to chime in.

So the results. nothing to start scaring anyone yet and no need for a roll cage.

Im giving the 1973 AMC Hornet Hatchback 360ci a run for its money at 16.5 sec.

I just couldn’t break into the 15’s. The averages were from 16.5-16.29. The death was the 60ft. The car just can’t get out of the hole and down low the Tq converter just isn’t helping. The best I got was a 2.2 60 ft and the MPH was 87

Im going to go back in a few weeks with the JHM goods. I really expect to shave as count said 1 full second or more off the time. The shifts were murder on the time Vs what the JHM TCU did. I think the full second can just get picked up in the TCU hahaha.

So I took one for the team and thats where we are at.

The good news Is Ive seen the other side of the power with the JHM mods. So Im not disipointed.

16.2x? So did I win with 16.21??? :stuck_out_tongue: That’s cool. Way to step up and put down a stock number. Definitely not a great number but its good to have a base line to measure from, can’t wait to see what the 2 tunes do for ya. And Motorsports you should totally go to the track too, that would be awesome!

do you guys think a 6 speed could break 14 with a tune, dp’s and cat back?
