well F me... hit AGAIN! &@%^*!

divided road, lady pulled out from a stop and turned right into me. :stuck_out_tongue: Was a divided road so didn’t think anything of it when she pulled away from the stop sign; a lot of people pull into the median and wait for traffic to clear at this particular stop…she didn’t. Didn’t even look she said. Yay.

Her right front bumper hit dead on the rear wheel - tweaked the suspension and knocked chunks out of the wheel. Very little body damage (thankfully), a couple of scrapes in the quarter aft of the wheel and bumper cover really scuffed on the corner; the same bumper cover I had to replace last year.

The whole core support on her minivan was shifted about an inch and a half - pretty decent hit. I mean, I’m bummed I’ve got suspension damage and it definitely would’ve been a total if she’d hit say the doors or the rear quarter dead on but it’s crazy how tough this car is!

She’s got no-name insurance and probably only the state minimum. Outta pocket for the rental car and possibly the deductible. JUST replaced the fuel pump and was on the way to drop it off for airbag recall, another carbon clean (mech got a walnut blaster and wants a go), alignment, valve cover gaskets and the remainder of the “small” things to clear the remaining non OBD codes.

Keep your head up, it will get better

Sickening. I had two hits to the left front corner within about 10 months of one another. I know how you feel. Hang in there!

Just got hit in the left front corner a week ago. Lady with suv backing up the block way too fast and smashed my fender. My car was parked and she sped off, luckily my neighbor saw the car and wrote down the plate number…

I filed a police report and now she wants to pay out of pocket, so i’m a nice guy (sometimes) i agree. Took my car to a body shop, got an estimate. Now she think’s my estimate is high and want me to take my car to a body shop of her choosing. Maaaaan… I feel you pain bruh.

Damn that sucks man!!

I got hit about a year ago from a lady in a parking lot. I was stopped waiting for someone else to back out of a spot ahead of me and she backed her SUV into my passenger side rear wheel fender.

Was pretty shocked since when I got out and was talking to her I could clearly see the entire back half of my car in her driver side mirror and rear view mirror! Who backs out without even looking? She was very lucky there was nobody walking between our vehicles.

of course she does. Shell wring you out dude. she fled and you are being too nice. Police and straight to her insurance my man. I would want nothing but the best of my choosing if someone hit me.

^^spot on.

I agree with the others… Its time to submit this to her ins. She sped off and the only reason you know about this is because of your neighbor not because she came clean.

This too… you see this too often. This is why I do the park really far away and around no cars parking job.

I feel your pain…got my airbags replaced on recall tuesday, Wednesday morning woman didn’t see me driving down the road as she started to turn into road in front of me, had to swerve around to avoid collision, ended up hitting an embankment and tore up front end, radiator, who knows what else, still waiting on insurance, praying it’s not a total loss, especially since i just dumped about $9k into it in april for a ton of maintenance/upgrades…ugh

Dude - it’s getting to a point where there won’t be any more v10 sedans worth saving anymore :frowning:

i’m going to do whatever i can to fix it, i’ve been looking at newer S6’s so i checked out the C7 S6 forum on audiworld and the first three posts were about blown turbos, not sure i want to go down that road again like i did with my old 2.7T

except the turbos are in the v of the engine and not buried like the 2.7T.

I’d be more concerned about carbon cleaning.

true, at least you don’t have to pull the engine, but the new turbos look pretty pricey compared to the old K04’s i installed in the 2.7

After a really high strung SRT4, a turbo’d SE-R and a 993T, I’m not about to be about that bosted life for a while… Especially when years later, I realize it’s more about the sound/experience 9-% of the time than the actual performance… Godspeed on your claim! Keep us posted
