Haven’t been to the strip yet. It had on some 20" anchors with crappy tires for a while. Now that these lightweight neuspeeds are on, and the tune and exhaust are sorted out, the car is a whole new beast. The next step is to pick up a jhm crank pulley and a 4:1 diff, then I definitely gotta do a few passes. For now I’m just enjoying the ride.
Oh and thats Huey from The Boondocks in a Che Guevara guerrillero heroico motif.
^You’ll be faster without going to the 4:1 technically, and the lwcp isn’t going to shave a ton of time, but certainly is a nice part. I enjoyed it more for the daily driving then say at the strip. That said, get out there! (and welcome)

Just don’t tell anyone you’re going…run your car, and if you fuck up, don’t tell anyone lol. People who pre-announce that they’re going heap tons of pressure and anticipation on themselves. Best to just pop up with an OH HI! timeslip thread.

well, i meant for the new guys. most are intimidated by the dragstrip…I know I was.
the whole scene is intimidating, so you just need to do your preparation, nut up and go. It’s so damn fun. I mean where else are you able to just let loose with the car like that, ripping it up to 200 km/h?
Anyway, I wish more guys would go. It’s great to ohave a big data set and fun to compare. creates some fun rivalry too.
Yeah my first time was scary. It’s like when you have to make a speech in front of a ton of people. Once you get into it, the nerves go away. The thing that sucks is that most of the other people at the drag-strip have massive buy 'merican boners. They don’t realize that their f-body is made out of parts from china
It’s especially intimidating when they yell at you for not knowing something that isn’t mentioned anywhere.
You take it in stride, you move on and you know for the next time 
yeah, I had a window half down when I first went and got yelled at.
my personal favourite is when guys ‘line up’ right beside the tree. That’s always good for a stadium full of eyerolls and laughter, not to mention heckling if it’s a foreign car
I had my window all the way down the first pass we made that morning in Oct. There was so much going on i never thought of putting it up. No one said anything.
Second run though i got yelled at “YELLOW AUDI… PUT YOUR WINDOW UP!” lol
Normally it’s just “AUDI!”
