I think the outcry will prevent this from happening.
We don’t make up the large group. There are more brain washed idiots out there that believe in doomsday global warming and that if we don’t all drive a Honda we are all going to die or ruin the planet. Copyright laws are getting more and more strict due to people trying to steal everything. If the manufacturer can sell the rights to modify your car to company’s they can make more money and control there products more.
Here is a good quote. “The more people trade there freedom for free stuff the less free everyone and everything will be” I think this copyright thing is one of many. Once the self driving car takes off and statistics start showing how much safer it is with computers driving (even if it’s not true they will say it is) things get to the point you can’t even drive your own car.
Was it on here I read something like this: Nothing is for free. Facebook is not a free product for the people. The people become the product. Same for Google, Yahoo etc…
SAN should be able to at least weigh in.
I saw this the other day. I wonder how/if ownership will pay a roll, since those that buy the car are the owners of it. It almost seems like well if you lease a car then you can only put x gas into the tank too?
