Last he told me one of the cylinders was 30psi low. Hoping it was something simple but not sure since then… Sucks!

“Do you remember how I said there was something wrong with my car when I did that 1/4 mile v-box. There was a 600rpm hole with it rich and misfiring. Well it was my passenger side cam retarding 5 degrees. We thought it was a tensioner, but I pulled it off the dyno and a had a low oil pressure light show up below 1800 rpm. I hooked up a mechanical gauge and it’s 30 psi low. I’m hoping it’s a relief spring.”
I’m not sure what else he would have meant by 30psi low with a mechanical gauge… Oil pressure? That could be low for a number of reasons though. I assumed cylinders but hopefully it’s not.

Poor guy got fucked over by VAST after they botched his build a couple of times, stuck him with the bill and then gave him back a broken car in pieces. Would be nice to see him catch some good luck!
After seeing his Pbox data, I was pretty excited to see him kick some ass at waterfest.
Well if Adam told me that what I wrote wasn’t from him, I wouldn’t have gone and put up a picture, that’s what I meant.
Like I said, hopefully he figures it out and the car doesn’t have to go back to the left coast.

Man you really feel bad for the guy. Spend massive amounts of money to have a car back that only did well on a dyno and now has blown head gaskets… No wonder. I wonder how many dyno pulls this company did to try and get good dyno results out of the tial turbos. It would be nice if these companys would stop using the customers cars are there own personal test bed… sheesh Looks like the amount of good shops to help with the B5 are getting less and less.
would like to hear from him…or his brother S6atron. Is he posting on audizine about this or is quiet there too?

Would that have been something addressed in a motor build? I have no idea. I know its a labor intense job to fix though.

A head gasket job can be done in one day by me for the right amount of money, so I’m pretty sure a professional shop can get it done in a day also. Head gaskets don’t just fail. If it’s head gasket related, it is obviously something else wrong. Maybe a bad tune, a bad mechanic, or maybe it is something else wrong and the head gasket story is the cover up story that was put out to hide the fact that something failed in the block, or head. The shop probably promised to fix the problem free of charge if he kept from posting the real problem on the forums. I hope Tweets gets his car running properly before the summer is over so that he can enjoy it before it breaks again. A built s4, or a4 always has problems. You must have to hope, yours are minor. I’ve had major problems that made me want to quit, but, I am a audi/vw guy for life, Hahaha.

Eather way sector7 is someone that clearly has something to loose with the sucuess of the RS6r turbos.
There is a local guy with a yellow wagon and rs6r turbos. I’ve seen them first hand. There what appears to be oem rs6 center section with better berings the cover appears to be off the shelf cast from other units apparently to save money. From what I can tell its the closest to the Loba stuff less the big price tag."
