what does this mean?

I’m looking up info on recalls and found this…
Is a TSB just to let you know there is an issue, not the same as it being a recall??

Vehicle: 2002 Audi A4

Nature of Defect:
ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE

Bulletin Number:
TSB-15-11-18

Bulletin Date:
Jan 2011

Summary:
AUDI: THERE IS A TICKING NOISE FROM THE ENGINE AREA WHICH MAY BE CAUSED BY WEAR IN THE CAMSHAFT. ( NHTSA ITEM NUMBER - 10038249 )

TSB: Technical Service Bulletin.

It is when Audi technical department realise that there is an issue with their vehciles they will send a bulliten to their dealer network about it. This bulletin will generally explain what the cause is a possible fix or updated part/part number.

It would be really handy to get a hold of this TSB, maybe someone could ask their dealer.

I will be picking my car up from the shop tomorrow with my clutch work finished and ill stop by the dealer and see what info i can get.

Maybe it would be a good idea to start a thread for each year with a list of all the TSB’s and recalls?

Yeah that would be cool if you could get some info…if you manage to get any documents can you email them to me

Sorry Lout, I tried to get info they said basically same thing thats in the TSB.

Does anyone think we should make a list of the TSB’s? for each year?
