Hey guys I was looking at my old harness and I saw this weird capacitor looking thing and when I look it up it’s called a suppression condenser capacitor. Does anyone know what it does?
I’d have to see it. Bu it sounds like it might have something to do with the AC unit?
You can see brown and red. Depending on the farad, this is simply acting as some form of filter or load starter for a motor that requires a lot of in rush current. In this scenario I am not sure what components would require such a large cap therefore makes me think it is a filter related for harmonics or noise… I saw the same one in my wire harness
