Hi guys what is the majority of you guys are running out there when upgrade your wheels go 19" or 20" for a 2009 A6 Avant ? Thanks
I’m curious about this as well, except for the saloon. I’ve heard 19x9 is good, probably what I’ll go with myself some day. 20’s have less sidewall, so less comfortable ride and more likely to damage something if you hit a pothole. Might be ok depending on your personal needs. 9.5 width I’ve heard is ok, but at 10 you may encounter rubbing issues. This is just from info I’ve gathered in the forums here, but I’d love to hear what people are using nowadays and how they like them.
Consider the weight factor as well - I believe the factory wheels are something like 39lbs each, so it might make a noticeable difference in performance to go with something more like in the 30lb range.

I was thinking on going 20" to match more the size of the car, im not sure if 19 will look good,it might be a bit small on the avant!???
Try your stock RS4 rims. They look really good. I think its the same bolt pattern. I know if you look at the 07 S8 they have RS4 looking rims and they are 20inch. It looks great. I have seen a few S6 cars with the same 20inh rims. I think that would look even better on the wagon.
