I am looking to put 19x8.5 or 19x9 with 35 or 45 ET.
But I don’t know it they’ll rub since the car has been lowered.
How low and what size and width wheels do You have?
Any input would be nice.

With those sizes it really depends on the tire you run. You would probably rub with the 9", 19x8.5" with 35 offset is my vote (thats what i run). I know you wouldn’t rub with a 235 tire. But I think 245’s look better but the only way to find out if you rub is to put them on cuz it will be so close you might have to remove the screws in the fender liner or something like that. I’ve read through countless posts on AZ and there are people running them but some of done minor modifications to keep from rubbing like removing fender liners and screws and shit like that. I’ve been wanting to switch to 245’s but the I had 2 good tires so I just stayed with 235.
Have you decided on what wheels you want?
I ran a 18x8.5 +12 with a 215/35 n didn’t rub at all. My next setup will be less aggressive going more for tire size will be 18x9+35 with 255/35 square. by my research that size will give most rubber with little to no rubbing.
If you wanna go aggresive you can fit 19x10 +35 with 225 or 235 square on b6/b7 with minor work
235/45 17s Yokohama Avid Envogors now with what looks to be 1 inch of clearence from
the top of the tire to the fender lip.
And 1 5/8 inches from the corner of the tire that will hit the fender liner screw.
I have a nice long corner to run at 80 before the tires start to squeal.
With the H&R sport ride springs and Bilstein Sport shocks the car doesn’t role enough in the front
to touch the fender liner screw.
I was thinking 235x45 18x8.5 to keep some of the clearance.
I see people on the forums that run 19’s but dont mention width or tire size.
235/45 17 on 7.5 width is the stock wheels I have now.
That calculates Sidewall=4.16 Doesn’t look like 4.16 but the tire calculator says it is.
Diameter=25.33
Tire width=9.25
If I go 18 that adds the 1 inch to diameter.
Any extra offset will probably give me trouble?
19’s might eat the fender liner screw.
18x8.5 +35 245/40 or 245/35 will be a safe setup
18x8.5 is most likely the setup I will go with.
Both tire sizes give me 9.65 tread width but the 245/35 will have less sidewall and tire diameter.
Which may lower the cars ride hight 1/2 an inch or less.
APP called “Garage Buddy” has its uses.
What are the stock wheels ET ?
I only know my usp wheels not sure on others
pretty sure they are 45
Put new tires on the stock wheels today.
They say 45ET on the backside of one of the 5 spokes.
