Hey guys,
Anyone know where Knock Sensor 4 is located? Front or back? Left or right?
Thanks.
Hey guys,

Standing at the front of the car facing the engine it is the right rear sensor. Are you getting a code?
Been getting the same code for a while. Finally getting around to addressing it.
004899 - Knock Sensor 4 (G199): Signal too Small
P1323 - 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded
Any idea of what the issue might be?? Please post back if you figure it out. I was getting the same code for knock sensors 1 and 2 for a while then it just stopped. ??? Never figured out what it was from
Honestly, I have no idea. I’m just having the sensor replaced. My fault code keeps coming back.
Damn man the hits keep coming for you!
Indeed lol. Although I’m nearly done! This knock sensor issue, the clutch and a new JHM tune!
The problem could be the sensor, but have your mechanic check the wiring at the connector. I was having problems with one of my sensors a while back and it ended up being due to a short. The insulation cracked on a couple of the connectors.
I did notice that the insulation was cracked on the wiring harness end of mine (if that makes sense) right before the plugs. I wrapped each one with electrical tape–how did you fix yours?
I’d also check and make sure the wire hasnt pulled out of the pin. That happened to me with a coilpack, everything looked fine but the wire pulled off of the pin internally and had a bad connection.
The knock sensors are under the intake manifold. You may just want to have your mechanic check all the blue and black connectors on the front of the intake manifold before replacing the sensor and some contact cleaner may just do the trick. If you have your mechanic replace the sensor make sure it is torqued correctly or you will have more issues.
One thing I thought I’d throw out there is it very well might not be the knock sensor itself. When I spoke to CV about the knock sensor codes I was having he told me that they generally don’t just go “bad.” When you take the manifold off you’ll see there really isn’t much to them. I replaced all of mine and still had problems
I did the same. I added some dielectric grease first and then wrapped the wires in electrical tape.
