Ordered a compressor, drier and o-ring kit. Cross your fingers.
I think that will do the job. Just check to make sure the unit came with the lube it’s not a bad to add a little extra.
I hope so! I started to work on it yesterday and Amazon sent me the wrong drier. Guess I cant cheap out on a $20 drier and I’ll need to pay the Audi tax on it, as it’s $240 from Audi. That’s about the worse I’ve seen for a price hike.
PS - I pulled the orifice tube and there is some junk in the screen. From what I’ve read, this usually indicates a compressor that is failing or has failed completely.
Yup. The compressors are junk. They are not very robust. That price hike wow that’s painful.
Found a “generic” one from Autozone. It looks like the OEM and the fittings look correct. It was $30, so I’m giving it a shot. Might take the money I saved and buy that Foxwell scanner
