Who's going to Show N' Go on October 20th at Englishtown?

I’ll be there with my GIAC Stage 2 B8.5 6MT and my dad will be there in his GIAC Stage 2 B8 DSG. Depending on how good the conditions are we might both run MS109 to try and get into the 11’s.

Who’s in?

Would be nice to get a nice B8 Turnout. Also would love to line up with a JHM RS4 if anyone is down. If that’s the case I will run pump!

So far two S4’s and an S6. Who else is in?

Is the S6 tuned?

Yes and it’s pretty quick/apr tuned.

Ran other day at island dragway

APR tune/ race gas file. Stock exhaust and full weight.

LOL… sorry saw the other post first… that’s the car I mentioned and figured you were talking about… Be good to get him and sciblades to go so they could run each other…

They were both supposed to come out last wed night to us. Apr guy couldn’t make it in the end. We are trying for another night.

I’ll double check with Pete. He (sci) might be going to the event.

Tsivas, That would be cool to see and a nice way to see what tune is faster assuming they both run the same gas… Looks like the DA was in the low 800’s for this pass so definely some room for improvement with a better DA… In his pic on vendorzine it looks like he has an intake, or is it stock? Wonder how much an exhaust will help these cars? How is the cat setup, does anyone know? Are they up by the motor or under the car? These cars will threaten 10’s with not many mods… Some LW parts, hfc’s/delete, exhaust, intake and maybe some lighter 19’s or 20’s… Good stuff…

These two beasts just hit the track in jersey recently also.

Merc e63 awd is just tune.

Wow, I didn’t realize those ESS M3’s were running that low of an ET. Is that a full pkg one I assume?

Also, the 2014 E36’s are just scary fast. I think C&D or one of them showed 0-60 at 3.4 or something. Just nutz! I’d been waiting to see what a tune one will run at. I bet you give them a little more time in development and a great DA, you’ll see something really shocking out them.

Ron, the exhaust will only really help with weight reduction, no real substantial power increase. The cats are in the down pipes, just off of the turbo. They are sandwiched between the bell housing of the transmission and firewall. The cats cross over each other like a pretzel and I am 100% confident there is room for improvement with just testpipes.

As far as the S8 and S6 are concerned, there are not really any significant differences between the two motors except the compressor/wheel on the turbos and the S8 has a bigger dish on the pistons.

There is much much more in this motor. APR is capping the torque on the stage I tunes right now, most likely for hardware protection and also drivability.

Without weight reduction, I only see a 10.40/10.41 unless we see a more aggressive tune.

First time I’ve heard someone say that about a turbo charged audi. Ever.

Same.

Testpipes and dumps, side exit lmao!

X2.

I’d imagine so more flow in the exhaust would naturally make more power…

We’ve seen a few tenths from just a Catback on the B8 S4 in 60-130 testing.

The B6/7 S4 and B7 RS4 have also seen HUGE gains from exhaust and those are N/A.

Interesting to see how the exhausts will do on the 4.0TT.

Depends on what your definition of substantial, is.

$4K for 10 hp? No thanks.

Side dump exhaust or go home.

Yes ;D

I’ll smoke to that hahaha

Greg, Thanks for the information… As others mentioned I’m surprised the exhaust doesn’t do much… Does the car have secondary cats like the TTRS or just the main ones off the turbo? I know those will net a nice gain but sounds like it’s similar to the S4 and a PITA! LOL Looking forward to seeing what these cars will do… Now if only APR would release my blower so I can be more competitive…

I am pretty sure that the middle of the cowl wall on the C7s/D4s comes out like the B8s so it shouldn’t be that hard to get to the catalytic converter nuts that hold the cats to the back of the turbos. Now actually pulling the pipes out maybe more of an issue.

Hey Ron, you can put it on your Santa’s list

Pete I’ll see you guys there and I will also run race file if I can find gas this weekend. Weather forecast looks great right now.

Awesome Rob, see you there.

My dad is going to run race so maybe you can run pump so we can see the difference.
