Winter opinions please on Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3

So I got this S5 with brand new Pilot Sport A/S 3 size 255/35ZR19. My intention was to have summer and winter tires however the dealer when certifying the car threw these all seasons on.

Anyone driven on these through a snowy winter?

I just drove from Seattle to Bend Oregon with these on my S6.

It was 23 degrees and frozen fog was pelting the roads for 4 hours, car handled great for all seasons. I am sold.

Watch and read this: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/videoDisplay.jsp?ttid=177

will be interesting to see what happens in 18 inches of snow…

Yeah I’m a tad concerned actually.

In my experience, all-seasons, when paired with quattro, don’t have much trouble getting through the deep stuff. However, they do cause slower starts and greater braking distances in comparison to dedicated winters.

That is what the FJ is for.

that’s always the part ppl overlook, sure u can get going no problem but try stopping from 60km/h suddenly.

are you the new op?
