With all this APR shenanigans going on I would like some advice from you guys.
First what I noticed and later the question I have:
THE HISTORY:
I purchased at Waterfest 20 a APR downpipe and stage 2 tune with their free labor deal. Everything was installed there, on the way back home, I had a problem with the plug on the second O2 sensor coming off, brought the bar back to the lifts and the guys fixed.
3 days later one of the joints from the downpipe to the mid section slipped and the exhausted became really loud. Brought it to one of APR dealers, got APR on the phone and I had the mid section reinstalled at no extra cost (they covered even my labor). Tipped the mechanic a good cash and went on my way.
A week after bought a cat back RSC (from moddedeuros) and an adapter (From APR), and had it installed by RedlineSpeedworx in NJ - (the catback was shipped directly from APR headquarters, it never got handled by moddedeuros - have invoice and shipment manifest)
WHAT I NOTICED:
All is fine in the world (apart from 2 joints that slipped but it was a quick fix to put them back on and tighten the nuts), until this winter i see smoke and water seeping through the back muffler right before the bent. Its smoking and seeping water from one of the welds.
Went on APR website and for the MKv plataform they still have their literature on the 3" RSC up on the website, but for the Audi a3 8p its no longer there.
Contacted APR and no answer (over 4 days now)
THE QUESTION:
What are my chances of having them honor their lifetime warranty on my exhaust either by replacing it or sending me to a shop to have it welded? (since they already twice seemed to honor their warranty and when over the phone on the second problem I had I was told "customer satisfaction is our number 1 goal)
And if my chances are close to null now, do any of you guys around Brooklyn, NY (LI, NJ, NYC, Upstate) have someone you absolutely trust and would recommend me to have this weld fixed?
Thanks guys and sorry for the long message.
