Wreaked S4

Hey Guys,

I lurk around on the forum a bunch but haven’t posted anything, until now. I used to own a 2004 S4 with a good amount of work done to it. It had a muffler delete, with piggies done. It had a JHM LWFW with the 4r clutch in it. I also just redid all the timing, I didn’t replace the chains, but everything else was done, I put the Full JHM timing kit in the car. I wanted to let you guys know in case anyone is looking for a good engine and transmission donor. I didn’t have any issues with the transmission, no grinding, popping out of gear, etc. The car had ~130K and the timing job was done not even 1k before my accident. I’m not sure, because I didn’t own a VAGCOM when I had this car, but I’m pretty sure the ecu had a tune on it. I drove another s4 over the weekend and it pulled no where near like mine did. There also wasn’t a speed limiter on the car, trust me, I’ve hit speeds above what many consider sane, don’t worry it was done in a safe setting. The interior is in great shape too, the drive seat had a couple minor cracks, but all the other seats were in great shape. I know these seats can sell for a decent price. Again, I figured I would let you guys know in case anyone is looking for some donor parts.

If I bought another S4, I would pick this car up, but I ended up getting a 2007 RS4, boy does that extra 1000 RPM make a difference. There are a couple of things to work out with the RS4, but it will be fun. I’m going to pull the manifold off this weekend and do a CC and install some spacers.

Old S4, yes I’m okay had a sore back, but am slowly coming back. No pun intended, well maybe a little.

The new RS4 looks great. Post up some pictures when you can. If your doing a clean let us know how it looked. the JHM spacers are a good mod for any of these hot running Audi cars. The RS4s also love the JHM tune. depending on the miles and how the carbon looks it might not be a bad idea to get the injectors cleaned and serviced. That seems to be something were not a lot of people know it can be a hidden gremlin.

Welcome again.
