XS-Power Longtube Headers for Audi B6 / B7 S4

if someone is dumb and cheap enough to pay 1000 for headers from ss auto clone, who cares?

Further, from the viewpoint of the good companies like jhm, those guys are not currently their target market anyway. If someone who Is in JHM’s target market, and they are swayed out of it by someone cutting corners and going SSAC and saying it’s great, clearly that person is not very bright and is likely quite cheap… Pennywise but pound foolish…and is not likely a real potential Jhm customer anyway.

The funny thing is that guys like this almost always EVENTUALLY buy the jhm stuff anyway. When they figure it out.

I say its a cancer because one the cheap parts get accepted as a “product to buy” like it has happened in the B5 world, the platform will spiral downward and probably never recover.

the platform is spiralling downward because it’s becoming an old cheap acceesible performance car that is interesting.

it’s the chicken and the egg I guess, but I believe the ghettofication of the B6/7 owners is what begat the chinafication of performance parts. Same in the B5.

I’ve said it before, but the B5 is largely irrelevant now. You just about never hear about anything happening over there that’s interesting. Why? because the platform is now a highschool car. I used to browse the b5 forum, but now it’s a total waste. Race wars was a great example. 40 guys all gung ho to get together and strut their stuff. In the end, a bunch of K03 and stage 3 minus cars who would all struggle their face off to get out of (or even in to) the 12s did some highway pulls. There was a dragstrip night not far from where they all were. Nobody went. Meanwhile the big shots were ALL on the shelf, broken. I’m sure it was a fun get together, but 6 years ago that type of event would have produced some epic win. Now? Nothing.

I completely agree with what your saying. The cheaper the car, the cheaper the owner, the cheaper the parts purchased, the cheaper the car becomes.

I am glad I was able to get rid of my B5 when I did for the amount I did. (rich kids parents bought my car for him)

Looking at Craigslist in my local area and I see B5 1.8Ts selling as much or more than B5 S4s LOL

I can only wonder what SSautoclone will make next for the 4.2l

I’m holding out for the SSautoclone BHF built motor for $2,000.

The b5 is a great example. Stolen Sorcted At China comes in and starts stealing parts and the platform stops getting support… the b5 is a great example of this. Sakimano was on the spot…chima bullshit parts came in and the b5 has gone backwards in both knowledge and advancements. Jhm steps back in with usa home made stuff and we see the first 10second car in 5 years and its backed up with another c7stomer running 11.7@126 with a car tyat still runs today…

These kids are too fucking stupid to realize that jhm isn’t going to wamt to continue to develop and grow a platform when all there products are getting knocked off in china… as I said try calling china when something is wrong with your timing chains…they wont amswer… if these kids want the platform to advance support the company makeing the advancements not the companys copying the advancements.

Thankfully it looks lile most of the b6 and b7 guys are smart enough to knocw cheep shit when they see it… really there was only a small few dumb enough to think getting these china pieces of shit was a good idea one of them was a guy who bought a pes supercharger…kinda sums it up right there

Interesting but not surprising, you don’t see any pictures of the cross member on or them in the car. Those pictures are from a long time ago and they are from different locations.

The XS-tra_china headers have smaller ports then JHM and it seems everyone has figured out they are not 321. For those of you that are interested. We made 6 different revisions when building these headers for JHM. The first 4 attempts at making full length headers, we made almost no more power then catless Dps. Headers require several things to make them make power. Only the last 2 revisions did we get the formula right and make power. China bob is missing the big 3 parts to the design and build dynamics to actually make big power. It’s just a bunch of pipes that all end up in the same place.

What XS_tra china has made is a real expensive set of catless dps that require you to pull your motor to put them on. Not only that but the ports are smaller then stock so your actually putting a part on the car that chokes it off right at the head.

Is it me or does the passenger-side tube look like it curves inward towards the drive shaft? Is it suppose to curve inward?

Yes they are supposed to curve inward. They won’t hit the driveshaft, well at least JHMs don’t (they go under the driveshaft along with the catback), can’t tell u about the Chinese ones. Lol have u looked under ur car at all?

I figured asr much, but wasnt sure. I think thats the best resolution to this issue. If they just came out and made headers thats one thing, but all of the implying they are the same and copying descriptions etc is ridiculous. Make sure you save the webpage before you report it, just as a backup

There definitely is. I reported these guys when they first posted on ebay referencing JHM. Probably would take a bunch of people reporting them before ebay does anything about it.

If Ebay really removed all chinese-copycat products from their listings…what would be left? Seriously!? :smiley:
