Yesterday was a bitter sweet kind of day..

what’s the money spread on similar age and mileage b7 s4 vs rs4 these days?

I don’t know man, prices are all over the place. Most S4 owners think they have a gem and are trying to get RS4 prices, what they actually sell at…who knows??

I’d say $10-15k depending on how optioned the RS is. You can pick up some decent RS4s with around 70k miles for low 30s.

I heard about one high mileage rs4 owner (120, 000 miles who was offered a surprising number for a trade in at an Audi dealer. That offer?

Drumroll please…

$1X,000

If you guess the X I will buy you a coke.

Lol. The monkeyboy salesman must’ve forgotten the "r” when he punched it into NADA

BTW mbt aka maddog aka Madison sold his S4 to a guy local to me. It’s currently at JHM getting the JHM timing service and heads. Seems like a good dude. Have yet to meet him in RL though

I think I’ve seen him posting already (the new guy)

Damn no coke…

$10k, that is so fucked up, but most dealers don’t want to touch cars close to 100k miles. They usually give you shit and then sell them off to smaller dealers. Plus the dealer probably knew the thing could be a ticking time bomb and knows just how much they are to fix.

Hell I would have given him $10K and sent it straight to JHM for a motor build.

Damn, I’m out of the loop!

Damn, $10k for an RS4 is a no brainer lol.

Yea the guy who bought mine is posting around a bit. I hadn’t heard of him much before he popped up to by the Audi. Talked to him on the phone a good bit, seems like a pretty good guy and knows whats up. It had turned out that he’d already ordered heads, chain kit, and headers for his car, then saw mine for sale, told JHM to just install the parts on my car since he already bought them, and to do an overhaul on it for good measure while they were in there. I didn’t have any ticking noise etc, but at 100k, you just never know. So it’s getting the preventative treatment most of these cars require and a once over by the best people in the business. New owner should be pretty setup though and ready to go!

Damn Euro, I know that you were talking about doing this but I figured that you would keep the car. I hope that it works out for the best. If you ever get in the area just let me know and I will gladly give you a ride in my car. By the way it is good to see that you are still around and giving people like 0000 V8 a hard time.

Saki, I have seen a sales manager low ball a customer that got the car two weeks beforehand. He offered him $15K less than MRSP and the guy paid the full asking price over MRSP.

Ya man, it kinda just happened. It’s for the best right now. I’ll hit you up when I’m around town…thanks again for everything…the exhaust sounded wicked as the kid drove I away thanks to you.

I was bothered for the last year about the same grinding, inexorible massive depreciation. Sooo I took action, sold the S4 too and bought something slooww and old:
