zero gap snub mount bracket

Anybody try one of these yet on a 3.0? I dont see why it wouldnt work and I think it would reduce my crazy
vibrations my car makes in park at idle even after adjusting the carrier. Im auto but I think this with
a akipol rear diff mount would be nice.

If you are expreincing vibration at park or idle. It could be a few other things, your engine mounts are either gone or on the way out or your trans mounts are shot (does the shifter vibrate as well in this situation). The other thing is your snub may not be adjusted properly, if you have a new snub and it is adjusted right there should be zero to very minimul vibration.

It slighty idles in park, fucking vibrates my teeth in drive when im at a stop.
Audi put new trans and engine mounts on the car 35k ago, I did the snub
mount about 15k ago. Still vibrates I even took it to the local audi guy and had
him try. What’s strange is when the suspension is at stock height it vibrates less,
then when my control arms are crying murder. I think that bracket and a akipol might
do the trick and looks like there’s almost no room for error. Any one else?

You shouldn’t have vibration problems like that with those low mileage mounts. One or all of the mounts need to be readjusted is my opinion. The snub mount usually creates the most vibration if not adjusted properly. Try to loosen them all and run the car at 2500 rpms with the AC on then torque to spec. Make sure the snub is not touching any edge of the bracket.

Talking to 034 in the past, I believe they say that their snub brackets will create slightly more vibration than a stock bracket.

I would like to see someone test fitment with that bracket though.

any progress on this? I have the exact same problem, my mounts are all fine, no vibration at all in idle, just in drive (I shift to N at stoplights to avoid the rattle and vibration… is this bad? lol). I’ve had a couple shops look at it, they suggested it might be the transmission not engaging properly, but agreed that my transmission seems to be functioning fine. I had a tranny flush 20k ago and never have any problems with it. KNOCK ON WOOD. Some days its better than others.

My 3.0 used to vibrate at stoplights in drive too. So annoying.

Hmm, at least I’m not the only one who experiences this. Anyone else? Might try bouncing this problem off Countvohn and see what he thinks.

Anyone have this on a manual?

Pretty much all of the B5 S4 guys have these

Audi replaced my tip and convertible top at 99.5k miles under warranty. But I had complain few times about
vibration, so they did the engine mounts, the car had slight vibration when I got it back. It would idle smooth
in neutral, but at a light or stop in drive it would vibrate and has gotten worse. I had the snub replaced but still
have vibration. My car is in pieces so itll be a month before I can start and set the snub again.
I was thinking even a rs4/s4 b5 snub mount bushing as I hear it fits perfectly in our “reciever/carrier”, keeps
it centerd by taking up all the space.

does anyone run the apikol up front? or is the 034 the way to go?

Well the mount itself is still made by Apikol. The cage is made by 034. The 034 cage is designed around the Apikol

im having one installed on my b6 s4 this week while its in the shop along with a apikol snub. JHM says it will help so i bought it haha
