07 Misano build

I’m waiting for Magnuson to take over sales and offer it for 7995.00

You can ship the seats for about $500 bucks if you don’t mind waiting a few months.

I think DHL is only 800 and I’ll have them in 5 days. If it weren’t for this trip, I’d hate to go on vacation and not have that cushion to do what I want.

Because racecar

i didnt realize you could get them for 2k US. i might getting a set especially if you guys are serious about shipping them for under a 1k.

  1. aesthetics…on a part that is under your hood that you will never see? That makes no sense. Further, what is wrong with the RS4 engine bay? It’s a thing of beauty. Because the stock RS4 engine bay is 98% of what you see when you open the hood to your JHM supercharged RS4, other than the modified airbox. The magnesium intake manifold, the carbon fibre covers, the wrinkle red valve covers…that looks way better than that funky APR logo’d plastic piece of shit.

  2. reliability - you must not have read the part where the guys with the APR charger are struggling with piston rings being fried and are replacing their engines. The JHM guys? They’re busy enjoying the cars while people tell them their supercharger isn’t pretty enough.

It’s very simple. Anyone still considering the APR blower after all the posts we’ve seen like this one below from WHITEQ 4 days ago either need reminding, or need their heed looked at

who can get me a set of black front euro seats for 2k$ do u know anyone that i can trust!? thanks

I found this very odd too, especially considering Brian also said these stupid VW/Audi shows aren’t really for him…so why do you want a top mount supercharger with huge letters on it?

The OEM manifold looks great, better than an APR billboard…

You’ll also never pass emissions in PA, go with JHM and you’ll pretty much pass emissions anywhere.

I didn’t expect to open this can of worms… I thought ending ur with I don’t want to start a debate was a get out of jail free card lol.

I just like the look and sound of the roots style supercharger. I have a co worker with a hell cat, that whine is awesome. Im still fairly new to this car, and it will be some time before I’m making this kind of purchase. I’ll be doing more research for sure before spending my hard earned coin. So far everything JHM has been amazing. I’m not ruling out their unit. Passing emissions for me is a non issue. My vehicles only get one sticker for the county I reside in. There is no emissions for me. Also I have one of those shops we use regularly at my day job should the laws change. I had no problems in the past with downpipes on my s4, and cel on from no cats. Never a question.

@ jake@jhm email sent. I’m really reconsidering now after reading more about reliability of the other kits. I would want to go stage 2 right from the start. Is it an air to water setup for the intercooled option?

We aren’t trying to force anything on you or start a shit slinging debate…people on AR just don’t like to see people waste their money and get screwed over.

The APR kit has caused motor issues, stalling issues, tune revisions have taken almost a whole year, and the car still won’t pass emissions technically speaking. JHM does not work that way. You’ll also be at an advantage as a member of this site because JHMs tuner actual reads posts here and sometimes posts himself. If you have any issues at all he will call you directly, I can almost guarantee that. He recently helped a second owner of a JHM kit fix all of his issues, free of charge. He just wanted the guy to be able to enjoy the car he just purchased so he walked him through everything.

Hey brian do u know any one that you can trust to get me a set of RS4 euro seats for 2k$:)

I thought the APR supercharger was pretty cool too for a wihle. I even posted about on a couple of international RS4 forums to give APR some exposure (i.e. RS246).

But after JHM walked me through their findings (from a few years back) and showed me their concerns about the RS4 engine, I reserved myself and just watched to see what would happen with the APR guys. It was a bit of a bummer when JHM showed me what happens to the RS4 at high boost. Once we started seeing engine failure after engine failure after engine failure on the APR kits…and coverup after coverup, that’s when I changed my mind

By all means, go get it, and enjoy it. Just realise that you’re probably going to be buying a car that runs around 11.6-11.7 @ 122 MPH in the quarter mile on good pump gas (ignore the bullshit results you saw from APR’s testing and their employee flying tomatoes).

For my money, I don’t think the 30-50 whp over the JHM kit is worth the extra $6,000 and the fried internals the APR kit seems to bring. For you, that is worth it for some whine. Different strokes!

What’s happening with the carbon fibre developments?

Carbon fibre stuff is on the back burner, we are heading to world finals in lake havasu city Arizona in 2 weeks to support our sponsored riders. I’ll be back on that once we return. Id like to not replace my engine, I already have the JHM tune so I plan to spend the winter finishing up supporting mods like clutch, mounts etc. I like the fact that with the JHM kit I can start piecing it together like with the 6 rib conversion, aux rad delete, fuel pump upgrades. All of that should save me a little when it comes time to buy the rest of the kit. I really haven’t read too much into the apr kit other than what they want you to see.

Can’t say this enough, this site is awesome. After a lot of reading this weekend the choice is clear. JHM I’ll be calling this week to work out details, is there a long wait for this kit?
