2nd gear pull…
Possibly because a higher gear will stretch the sample time giving you an effectively higher sample rate (less d rpm/sample)
That and in 4th gear it’s a 1.000:1 ratio
yes I am aware of that.
I have a log for 1st, a log for 2nd and a log for third.
Truly it should be done in 4th, but thats not happening unless on a dyno
Why should it be done in 4th

I think he is getting confused thinking about dyno runs where people aim for a 1:1 ratio
everyone logs 3rd.

haven’t been here in awhile…my trans died on me. 1-4 where gone leaving only 5 and Reverse. I towed my car to level 10 transmission in NJ as the only like 20 min from me and the owner is good friends with my father. I got to hang out there while they took my trans out and apart and rebuilt it. The A drum and valve body where both cracked. So I went ahead and got the Level10 Bullet Proof package with the upgraded valve body, TQ and pump. Car is back to normal and feels better than ever. The TQ really made a difference with the stall changes. They also had stiffer springs installed into the VB which made the shifts faster. All together I can say I’m very pleased with the work they did, plus I got a very nice discount because my dad knows the owner well.
Anyway now that the car is back on the road I have a lot of stock piled parts that I’m going to start installing. Will update as I go.
Nice!
Good to hear it is back on the road. You have now taken care of the one part on these cars that is guaranteed to fail. The Level 10 rebuild sounds like a great improvement, and Im sure will be rock solid.
yes I’m hoping there will be no more future trans issues.

Cracked? That’d definitely be bad. How much did all of this cost you if I might ask? I’ve read lots of great things about level 10 transmission work in other platforms. Most guys say it makes the car better then a manual. This isn’t from Audi guys but it does seem level 10 makes a product that works.
