I have a tuner and Im slowly learning it from him. Its crazy though. Reading it in a HEX editor looks ike the MATRIX and is mega confusing for me, but so easy to him lol.

This conversation is the best…where you pretty much tried to tell me that me modding the APR intake into a full carbon fiber enclosure would not help heat soak. You pretty much said that the carbon fiber would not handle heat better than the stock plastic .

It’s not the splitting of atoms that you may think it is, just to be able to read HEX. The key is knowing what your doing “for real” not just piecing together what other guys or groups of software engineers have figured out and fine tuned. I think your just missing our point.

Tuning requires logging, initial file, more logging, revisions, logging, then your final tune. Its not one and done. Why don’t you ask Jake @JHM if they just whipped up the ECU and TCU tune for the Audi A6 C5 4.2L without having to do logs and revisions and whatnot.
When tuning a tcu there is many many different setting you can do. And to find what shift points and setting i like i need to do multiple flashes. Its not one and done! Im about keeping reliability and not just tuning it to the max

I asked what the point of the RS6 interior was and the RS6 cluster because I literally don’t know the difference and just wanted to know. Not sure that deserves a ‘dumb ass question’ or ‘really’. Those are legitimate fucking questions from someone who knows very little about the platform. and I didn’t say ‘what’s the point’. I said ‘what’s the point of that? Try reading his post.
First he said if your tuner is telling you he will need to make multiple revisions it’s because your tuner is learning how to tune, using your car. Not ideal.
Then he realised you are in fact your tuner, thus he understood the need for revisions…since you will be learning how to tune, on your car.
Then you flipped out, started swearing, double posting and getting all defensive. Very odd.
Anyway, enjoy ‘learning’ how to tune on n e f. It must be easy to DIY a custom tune using n e f since that’s where all the record setting audis are. Oh wait I’ve got that wrong…that’s where NONE of the record setting audis are lol. So you’re basically ‘learning’ how to suck at tuning.
