2014 B8.5 S4's...

Federer’s solution for the 2014 owners with tunes that aren’t performing… Go to the BBB! LMFAO…

That would be fun… BBB: Hello… S4 owner: yeah I’d like to file a case against APR/GIAC(pick your tuner)… BBB: OK what did they do… S4 owner: They sold me a ECU tune for my Audi and it doesn’t work… BBB: I see, so your car isn’t running? S4 owner: Oh no it runs it’s just slower than other vendorzine forum members, oh and I have data logs I can send you… Silence… BBB: So what would you like us to do? S4 owner: Shut them bitches down, their like criminals and also the people who installed it… BBB: I thought you bought a tune from (pick tuner)? S4 owner: I did but those bastards won’t let me install it at home so I have to go to one of their “dealers”… BBB: I see… I’m not sure what we are going to be able to do for you sir… To be continued…

That shit makes me want to pull my hair out. Some people need to step back into reality…

All, especially Ron, thanks. As I have written I’m hanging my hopes on REVO. It was implied to me, by the shop I’m intending to use, that they will be able to adjust timing? This discussion was about tuning after we install the water/methanol injection system so I assume it can be done with REVO too? Regardless, something certainly is wrong!

I don’t think anyone has custom tunes out (even to account for W/M). I could be wrong.

Has anyone figured out swankperfection’s angry agenda yet? He’s not pro anything… Just angry. And from the looks of it… Stock.
At least people have stopped thinking he is me . And Rs4elitist.

I can just continue to get credit for my own posts and not everyone else’s .

SMH…now there’s gonna be a class action lawsuit ::slight_smile:

http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/611346-Paging-GIAC-APR-regarding-2014-B8-5-Stage-II-Tune-Issues?p=10020274&viewfull=1#post10020274

so 2015 cars should be safe lets find out

pretty funny shit.

Good luck proving anything. Frankly none of the tuning companies prove/guarantee a thing in their advertising in the B8 world. They show an inhouse dyno that is entirely not replicable, so you can’t whine about that. They show no performance testing at all. You guys are doing that for them. What are you going to do say you aren’t as fast as Primetime and want to sue APR?

In the B67 world it’s the same with the exception of JHM who do loads of performance testing of their parts to highlight gains (but they don’t make out and out guarantees of anything, nor should they). If you take your car in similar conditions with similar driving to what JHM show, and suck, you might have a case…but it’s so tough.

Taking a B8 seller to task because…what? because what exactly? They promised you NOTHING! All in all, someone wanted the forum to know he’s a lawyer…that’s all.

Unfortunately why most people hate lawyers.

easy…

I find it funny that the first person to suggest a lawsuit is a lawyer. You’d think an actual lawyer would understand why this is so retarded.

Where’s the line of responsibility on the consumers end? That’d definitely make no sense that a lawsuit against APR or otherwise is easier or more beneficial than simple research and responsibilities for making sure the car’s performance upgrades are being properly supported and tested in an environment able to support wanted results.

I don’t think he even has an S4.

I don’t hate lawyers

Lawsuit? lol. For what? A factory redline that’s lower than the B8?

Please.

No Arin don’t be ridiculous

Because you are screwing people out of hard earned money with your trick tunes that ‘don’t take’

FOR SHAME !

It would be impossible for someone to spend as much time on AZ if they didn’t have the car. He posts probably 10 2 paragraph essays a day. Would be even worse than killing pigs in world of warcraft for the fuck of it (or whatever cartman did to power up).

I’m 50/50 on Swank actually owning a B8 S4; maybe a little lower on him actually owning one. For a long time I figured no way, but he does seem to know some things it would be hard to know if you didn’t own one and I can’t see how anyone could waste that much of their life on Vendorzine if they didn’t. If you look up other sites he posts on (Apple and tennis), it’s pretty much the same MO, so who really know. I wouldn’t be surprised either way.

He posted a photo of his car. I can’t see him pretending to own one. If you dig enough you can in fact find his real identity via the tennis and apple forums… I’m sure from there if you want to find his car, google street view of his home and work will help.

I don’t know how to make this any more simple:

  • Your transmission shifts earlier than the B8 or manual cars.
  • Ignition advance increases towards redline.
  • A higher redline means a higher final ignition advance figure.
  • A lower redline means a lower final ignition advance figure.

Attached is your log in blue. It shifts around 6000 RPM and makes just shy of 16 degrees of ignition advance.

If you draw a trendline to make an assumption of how ignition may look with a 7200 RPM redline, you’ll see that you may achieve as high as 19 degrees.

Typically 93 octane, stage 2+ ignition at redline (7200) is around 18 if I recall correctly.

Arin, think about it, I have and my head hurts. What you are admitting above is you are selling me a tune that you knowingly doesn’t work because my car is restricted to 15 degrees spark advance!!! I paid $1800. for trend lines and assumptions???
