It’s a benchmark to measure performance gains provided by a product. Running E85 is like running race gas. More expensive, more effective, and not for everyone. Not exactly ‘fair’ to say 'My kit is better because I went XXX on E85 and beat product ABC and their 91 octane setup". They’re two different benchmarks. Primetime runs race gas all the time on his B8 S4. That doesn’t mean race gas is ‘normal’ for daily drivers. It’s normal for him. Same goes for E85. It’s fucking pure alcohol lol.
Again, the majority of people won’t ever run it. So it’s another benchmark, but hardly counts as a ‘pump gas’ time.

He went to the dealership to find out why the car was there so he could ‘expose’ some problem with the JHM car and help his butt buddy at AMD. He LIED to the dealership and told them he was buying the car, and needed to know about it. He LIED through his FUCKING TEETH.
They told him some cobbled together information, and he ran with it. Unfortunately he was flat wrong, and after Kurt went to the dealership and showed them what was ACTUALLY wrong, the car was driven home by the owner, who later explained this to Reid the fucking maniac.

Yea that was pretty stupid on Reid’s part. I don’t understand his extreme level of contempt towards JHM. I can think of a couple local shops that I really don’t like… but I’d be crazy to take that much time out of my day trying to make them look bad.
I see where Jspazz is coming from regarding JHM’s marketing. To the general consumer it could be presented more clearly, same with the website… Kind of weird to scroll halfway down the RS4 page before you actually see the performance parts.

Just want to be clear…summary is that JHM is shady for testing various confgurations of their supercharger kit and not IMMEDIATELY sharing the information. They are also shady for going BACK to the strip after initial shakedown testing of a new setup…and they are shady for going 2 or 3 times hoping for better DA to get the best possible pass (they’re in California, not in -2800 feet New Jersey). Have I got that right?
Oh wait, they’re also shady because in a phone call, they shared some of their success, and I mentioned it to Corbett here in this thread.

to me I look at it this way. A pretty ad is just like a pretty dyno sheet. Give me the meat and potato results maybe a nice video and save the money spent on ads and give me a part for less money. I also like how JHM tests and tests and tests. They go to the strip to test not to just break records… I also like when JHM does well they don’t hang there pants on the wall or need to jump out and post how quick they went. It seems to me that JHM tests and if they go fast during testing they just hold on to the results till they are done testing…
The holding times back was the AMD thing when we knew they went piss slow… So slow they needed to switch tuners and give the car more boost… But AMD claimed to have had a proven kit…it wasn’t so… Then AMD went to the track and couldn’t get the time out fast enough when they did well…

The 11.12 was run in MAY 2013. Seven months ago. You got that? They showed video of Jason driving. In car, out of car. That’s when the times were all run, that week in May. It’s on the quarter mile list (and has been for a couple of weeks) with JAYBQUICK as the driver. Once again, this is in the video, in the JHM release thread, and is known by everyone but you it seems. I added in who owned the cars because you seemed confused and thought only JHM’s in house Sprint Blue RS4 had run at the strip with their kit. There are now 3 (that I know of) that have run.
I don’t understand…you’re concerned with this because…why? You care if JHM beat their own best pump gas/street trim record? Do you doubt it? When it came out that JHM went 11.1, before they shared the slip, a couple of people expressed doubt . I don’t think they’ll make that mistake again with JHM.

Ironically this kind of happened last time with the 11.1…and it’s B8 S4 owners who are complaining in both situations. i.e. not someone who really gives a fuck either way since they aren’t going to be buying the kits. There’s something to be said about that.

I think it’s funny how JHM only posts up a new time if their old one gets beat. I know of at least 1 other platform where they set much faster times after going to the track again, but didn’t bother because the first time they posted was already the fastest.
