I posted this on Audizine, and I’ll post it here too. You have limited space to work with already, and limited changes that can be made and still have it mount to the stock locations. How hard is it to bend the pipe and weld flanges on it? How much testing really needs done? It’s a pipe with nothing in it, you can’t really do to much to it to drastically change performance unless you’re blocking it off completely.

I understand fitment can take a while, and the need to test it, but really, it’s not like we’re talking about a product that has a catalyst in it that you’d need to worry about durability. Make it out of a quality stainless steel, do a good job with the welds, put some O2 bungs on it and you’re done. This isn’t rocket science.

If making an exhaust part for an na car was that simple, milltek, Billy boat, super sprint, awe, stasis etc wouldn’t get it wrong so often.

Further if jhm did nothing but 3.0 projects I reckon we would see more from them. Reality is they are immersed in several other developments that started long before the 3.0 stuff.

But by all means if you think it is so easy, why wait for jhm? Just buy from the other guys. Before you do ask in the b6/7 section jow that worked out for people.

So i did install the ECU this morning…check engine light was still on.
Than i decide to reset the codes and took the car for a test drive.
For the last three hours check engine light was off. I almost cry, because i never seen the CEL ligh off for such a long time.

My first impression was that the car feels lighter with JHM tune.
Throttle is very responsive and feels real. There is some torque gains for sure.
Car pulls much better from low rpm. I can be in 4 or 5th gear with 1800-2000 rpm and the car would pull much harder then it used to before. There is no lag…and i don’t have to wait until 3000-3500 rpm to accelerate. The power is instant and exist during the overall rpm range.
Overall all fells like 4 passengers just got out of the car.
Engine is very quite when idle, may be its due to new sparks that i put during the last few days.

So next week i am planning to go through e-test and see if I able to pass it.
Hopefully the check engine light will be off:)

Love that quote!

Here is a few things to take into account.

There are 3 different kinds of 3.0 manifolds with 3 different kinds of placements and openings. This has changed the angles and placements. So to cover all 3 different manifolds we needed to almost get 6 test cars. both manual and Audi. We found a little more power doing something different. So its been a long R&D, with that we have gotten as much out of the 3.0 Dps as we can. It has taken too long but on the horizon is a big coming out party for the 3.0. JHM has lots of stuff on it’s way.

If you still have issues with the CEL make sure to contact JHM right away with the code. Knowing that you need to pass emissions they will do whatever they can to get you there.

The JHM tune as it sits should only get stronger as the days go on, the tune searches for the ability to give more power and adds it when it can, and when you get to the JHM dps you will notice another jump in power.

The CEL light is off)))) it came one once and went off right away by itself…the scan showed torque converter …my next thing to fix. No CEL lights with regards to Catalytic converters… THANK YOU JHM!!!By the way…I almost hit a car when reversing on the parking lot today…throttle is unbelievably responsive to any movements…
