Look 4 hood pins

They use 4 because there is no hood hinges or latches
Right, so why is 2 safer than 0? 4 is the proper number of pins. I’m game but let’s not get half pregnant.
you really are ignorant, aren’t you? The lack of hood pins has been proven to be an issue and a safety hazard regardless of manufacturer. By all means run none and be prepared to have money on hand when it fails
+1 on the Periscope live feed
My other favorite piece of keyboard advice is the guys who say my 1:43 at Laguna is fucked because I brake too hard and get on the throttle too early. All of these cup car Lambo and R8 get on before apex just as I do, whereas the Porsche and Aston get on later. Keep it coming though. I am entertained by our shared delusion that I could be wrong.

My friend is running two “QuickLatch Mini” units for additional security on his B7 with a carbon fiber hood. It’s not worth the risk of the hood demolishing your windshield and roof IMO when the solution is so cheap and easy to install. These things are about the size of a quarter, and are available in black, so they don’t stand out too much.

QuikLatch also sells a larger version that are specifically marketed as hood latches, but the minis do the job just fine.

This would be a perfect Mick part deuce…
what does knowing a driving line have to do with not understanding why you need to run hood pins? You can be right about one and completely wrong about another
actually the ‘B7 modder on a budget’ spent $75,000 for his car and about $30,000 in modifications. Makes you look like a broke-ass-bitch with your $49,000 S4 and $1800 flow formed wheels lol.
nice that they’re a good deal, but apparently it’s not about money for the baller…even though he desperately tries to double duty his $15,000 7 year old audi family sedan as a track car. Even though virtually everything he does for his car is half-assed and the cheap cheap option.
The 3.0TFSI is an amazing track day car motor that gives me a comfortable speed advantage. I’m sorry Audi didn’t put in a better body than the B8. If it has wheels, people will track it. For my purposes it is a better motor than a turbo BMW 6 cylinder (or a turbo Audi 5 cylinder). It’s also nice that the Audi has the double-wishbone suspension, where the BMW and Porsche don’t. Very telling is cars like the M6 GT3 gut the stock suspension and go double-wishbone; ditto for all the DTM cars like the M4 DTM.
Anyway can we start a betting pool or a prediction market for when my hood will fly off the car? I’ll take the other side of the bet. No limit.
The last time I cared about the B7 was in 2005, when I didn’t buy it. Used high mileage B8 S4 going for $25k still. They are 6.0 years old.
Back to the topic at hand. Much downforce, so aero. This is basically a Ferrari tdf

Nice it will help evacuate the high pressure that builds up in the wheel well at speed, with proper aero the B8 would be fast around the track relative to its cost
Wow looks like almost a great fit if not a really great start. Iittleredwagen said it I think that can really help remove that trapped pressure. It would be interesting if you could quantify the gains some how.
the other good part is it looks nice and ads to the over all look of the car
You would need to pass by a camera before and after at the same speed to measure the right height. That is assuming all other variables are the same and you have a complete aero package on the car. It is such that quantitative results are hard to measure. You can use speed, Sector Times, Lap Times, and tire life to gauge the effectiveness of aero mods. Such a PITA
Install day is today.

Will wet sand this APR decal off, and attach a white audi ring decal.

This is the attachment point in the trunk. Required carving back some of the trunk understructure.

Trunk opens like normal without the wing touching the car. The whole thing can’t be more than 7 pounds.
