how long till JHM slaps an RS6R on one of these 2.0T B7s? That would be interesting to see. Seems a really neglected platform overall other than basic tunes. APR likely has a conservative stage 3 program but otherwise, is that it? Is that why everyone goes ‘custom’?
JHM supposedly has a stage 3 kit in the works, but is keeping the turbo a secret for now. APR has a stage 3 kit with software, but it uses an old school GT turbo that tops out somewhere around 320 awhp (IIRC). There are a number of options from ATP turbo, but they do not offer software to go with them and the manifolds are of questionable quality. RAI has a GTX and an EFR kit advertised, but they seem to be horribly flawed, much like everything else RAI sells. Your best option for hardware is to piece together something on your own, and your only legitimate option for software is to get a custom tune from somewhere or do it yourself via Maestro.
Tough when you have no options.
DIY tuning sounds like the worst possible solution. I’ve never, ever seen a ‘custom tuned’ car run anything special. Never. Ever
I also am the guy who administers the 1/4 mile list here…if that helps lend weight to that statement.
The RS6-R if we ever do it will be further down the road. For stage 3 we are going to do what we do best and R&D the hell out of it and make sure everything is good to go before people can start buying it.
RS6r further than what?
If we do decide to offer a smaller turbo kit it will be based off of the demand for it once our big turbo kit is released.
What aspects sold you on going with a Dillinger tune? Did you get a trial?
What Ddillenger is a complete fraud. I’ll send you the pms of him contacting people asking for there tunes so he can figure out how to tune. I know some of you guys might not like jfonz but jfonz isn’t a fraud. Ddillenger just sells stolen software and tries to tell everyone there tunes suck so he can get a willing victim to let him try to tune in there car.
The guys a fraud.
I’m not a fan of Jfonz, not because he is a fraud, but because his tunes are a joke. I’ve heard dillinger is a copycat, hopefully he has copied enough files that he can actually do something worthwhile with them…

whoa…he’s getting a dillinger tune?
fucking red flag. That guy’s a con artist and a thief. Hard to believe anyone would deal with him.
You should change your thought process. You just basically gave ddillinger a pass becuase he steals tunes.

Think about that. Companies like MTM and APR and JHM spend millions of dollars on R&D and tools and tuning staff expertise so that they can deliver quality tunes to us. Then a loser like DDILDOLICKER pops his head into threads to tell people he will ‘help’ them with their CEL…if they send him their ECU tune. Which he then copies.
He then says he will tune someone else’s car later on for $300 and will include an APR XXX tune for free on the loaded ECU. Guy is a douchebag. Fuck him and if anyone gives him money, you’re contributing to fraud and hurting progress.
Well, this is just fucking fantastic. I searched all over for reviews of Sprint Auto Works tunes and didn’t really find shit. I was under the impression that they weren’t that well established yet, hence the reason I was the first remote tune customer. Unfortunately, I’ve already paid and the ball is rolling. Had I known all this in advance, it may have swayed my decision. To top it all off, my car is running great on my latest maestro tune.

You won’t find any reviews, Sprint Auto Works has never done tunes. Dillinger and JRtrainor have been wanting to start a tuning business, and since JR just got hired at SAW, well, it was the perfect place to start offering a tuning service. I would say you are probably the first customer overall, not just remote.
Do they have a Tuning R&D Car?
I’d strongly recommend asking for a refund. Here is one of the reviews on his personal audizine account. This is one of a few cheated people.

Your message box is full. No, starts and misfires and bogs right out. I put the spare ecu in and it runs (rich) but it runs…not happy…I also marked my ecu before it left…same ecu sent back to me…already working on police for fraud if this isnt straightened out
You’ll find what everyone is saying is true. Without getting into too many details ddillenger approaches people either telling them their tune is unsafe or that he can help them for free. It’s free of course if you have a tuned file and you’re doing to send it to him. Several people have got burned from him and he has no history of being able to tune let alone tune your car. He seems to pm people on AZ waiting for them to be frustrated offering free help. Free or not it’s not experienced help.
While Sprint auto works seems to be a shop perhaps look to see they only have a Facebook page that started last year. So in essence your paying for something that isn’t established from people who’ve been known for offering stolen works of others. You wouldn’t buy parts for your car without some sort of proof they work. Why pay for someone known to not be honest that has no proof they can even tune your car or have?
Any reputable company should be able to provide proof of abilities as well as any shop should be able to give you a refund.
Personally while I don’t know much about your self tune software you have. I highly doubt a non existent company will put in more time then you have. If the car runs great save your money.
If you ask for a refund and they offer the tune to you for free. That too should say something. That A they need to figure out how to do this and want your car to do so. Or two they want to try and use you as an example of a car they tuned because they have non.

funny, I said pretty much that exact same thing to the guy who is working with Dillinger at SAW, and he told me he was insulted that I called his friend a thief…He is a super nice guy, but just makes some strange decisions sometimes.
Today’s youth. I could possibly understand if DD hadn’t already been exposed as someone that is dishonest. I certainly wasn’t aware until I read about some of the actions here and then heard a first hand story.
The real question comes in when there’s an issue. Let’s say one of the bigger established companies is tuning a customers car and there is catastrophic failure. The bigger established companies can warranty or replace the motor. What happens when someone goes to SAW and gets a tune and their motor blows up? SAW doesn’t even have an actual website let alone the ability to replace a customers motor they blew up trying to learn to tune.
Do they have a Tuning R&D Car?
lol
Do they have a Tuning R&D Car?

That was the best laugh I’ve had all week. Thanks mec.
Aluthman you’ve obviously done a great job tuning your own car. As I said I wouldn’t let someone use your car as a test project. You’re essentially buying something that doesn’t exist. Nothing proves ability better then results and integrity. Two things SAW don’t seem to have yet when it comes to tuning. Just look at how bad some of the B8 S4 guys have it when they try to use even an established company.

Post 2785 and 2786…Guess I should back off and let JR find out the hard way. The thing that bums me out is he is a nice guy, sure he tosses out lies left and right to impress people, but deep down, hes a good guy, he is caring, and he isn’t conceited, he will take the time to help you, but then he just makes such bad decisions…and I’ll try to point them out and he thinks I’m attacking him, note to self, does not take constructive criticism well…scratch that. Does not take constructive criticism at all.
