so i dont understand what the problem is. tweetstate ran 10.74 on race and meth and then 10.9x on pump and meth. what point are we arguing?? i think i missed it. just because he didnt get into 10’s by gutting the car like marc did then his times are irrelevant? just because marc did get there on pump alone? how many B5S4’s have gotten there without meth or race or E85? just curious…

Nobody is arguing any point. Originally his buddy said he was on pump gas when he went 10.9 and I had to clarify that this is not accurate. He was on 93+meth, and a 93+meth tune is NOTHING LIKE a pump tune.

Then you ask, out of curiosity, how many b5 s4s have run 10s without race or corn or meth. You realise we have a massive, sortable and searchable quarter mile list right? Go check. The answer is zero.
To go that fast on pump gas (really on pump gas, not pretending it’s just pump gas) in an audi everyone knows you need either a stage 3 ttrs + a built motor, or you need a b7 RS4 with a JHM supercharger, clutch and exhaust on the stock motor.
It costs two sets fo tial turbos…to replace the blown ones…3 motors…two or three years…you can drive it for a few weeks but then you have to sell it…all that and 100k
Motors are run by electricity and it was 1 engine and 1 set of turbos (sold the working old ones). And 25-28k with the car minus maintenance oil etc. Tell me again that I’m lying, hahaha or that I don’t know my own car. Ignorance is bliss I guess!

Lol. I was actually serious. More of an analysis of which Audi platform gives you the best bang for buck… So I reckon 28k gets you the following on other platforms (including install):
Probably low 11’s, maybe high 10’s: C4 S4 with a built motor and your choice of big turbo. With that money it’d be a pretty clean C4 at that
Low 12’s/high 11’s: Cleanish B6 S4 + supercharger. More mod cons than the C4 S4 option but not as crazyyyy.
Proven low 12’s: 2000S4’s RS4 with JHM tune/exhaust (although I think he sold the exhaust). And you’re in an awesome handling RS4 with a suspension/rollbar/wide track setup

Also hate to break this to you but you haven’t done anything for the audi comunity…what over paid to run a 10…at first you wanted credit for being the fastest b5 s4…thats not ture…then you went for full interior fsstest b5…ur not that either…now its just vintage amd…ur the fastedt b5 s4 with a custom shift knob and floor mats…sure…someone might be able to over spend amd pay 28…I don’t think anyone here believes thats what you spent. … maybe it ws 28k after the secind motor blew up…

The owner sent me a message a couple of weeks later when he was at the strip again and said something to the effect of “launching well is easy with these Hoosier drag radials”. Didn’t think much of it at the time, but I remembvererd that I hadn’t heard about/mentioned slicks when I entered his 10.74 time.

Stop being a douche. He bought slicks for his last visit to the track where he made 2 passes. One at 10.9 on pump (PLUS METH) and one pass at 10.7 on race gas PLUS METH.
His previous 10.7 run was on a street tire. I was there for both visits to the track.
