The 1.0 car went to the strip, struggled to get out of the 12s and trapped 120. That’s fucking crap for a 15 psi, upgraded everything TVS1900 supercharged RS4. Jason admitted it on PM that it’s crap with his mile long excuse list.

Blown head gaskets mean the heads come off not an engine tear down. Not what “blown” means in the aftermarket world. Blown implies broken mechanical parts en engine beyond salvage. Caused by implied tune or assemble defect. In this case, the problem was stock head bolts, something that has been found to be a weak link in the B5 community. Thus everyone going to aftermarket studs/bolts.
No blown…blown head gaskets…meamt a parts was blown in the motor. .its nice your not even doing the work but you know what a blown motor is…something broke in the motor. It. Was blown head gaskets.
I know being part of the advertising staff @amd they dont want you to clasify it as blown…but you blew up a crutial part of your motor that reauires you entire motor to come out…get tore down…heads sent out to get decked…drian all the fluids…drain all the oil check for damags then put it all back together

In any event who used the stock parts when they built your motor? If it’s a known issue and your motor was being torn down and rebuilt, was there a reason to reuse them? Or is this known issue only a recently known issue.
Try a thicker one piece head gasket . Some firm in the uk makes some gaskets for supercharging n/a engines .
Has to be tapered and I can’t remember what else .

Plenty of thing beyond faulty head bolts can cause a blown head gasket…and I hope no one reused OEM head bolts on a motor being rebuilt considering they are one time use and stretch. Improper instal could be just as much of a contributor (not following torquing phases)
I think if you buy a B5 and daily drive it for a year straight, you will not only have more B5 experience than tweets (whose car has only run like 7 days since he bought it 5 years ago), you may in fact set a B5 record.
That’s not true, my silver car ran well for over a year. Where I in the proper sense of the word, blew up the engine. Engine because cars, unless they are hybrids or electric have engines not motors.
I have a stake in the 4.2 world. That’s all I’m saying.
Saki. My car made more power than any 4.2 does, why would I lie about that. You want me to gravle at your feet and tell you how wrong I was to disagree with you all? My car ripped, I loved it. The only complaint I have is his turn around time. That’s it. I’m back to AZ and AE enjoy when the results come out and I’ll be back when my silver car has gone to the 1/4.

Did you just say that your car had bad head gaskests, because I am pretty sure you said that your problem was bad head bolts.
You also said that the factory head Bolts were a known problem. This is not true. I have been using factory used head bolts for years and I have never come Accross a problem.
