AMD S/C... should I?

This is what jonathanC gets for working with amd. Tbis is like watching a slow moving car crash.

The biggest fail is that amd took a customers car to the track so they could ensure good results…and even when they took the csr themselves to assure nothing went wrong nothing did go wrong…still…nothing went fast either…

Seems amd is living up to the another minipulated dyno sheet as they shure talk about the dyno…even tho they dont share that ms paint dyno sheet results

They honestly blow my mind…if they fail with this, but still maintain their clown posse…words won’t even describe that.

Even Flying Tomatoes isn’t a complete idiot…

[quote]If this issue was present before it was installed why did you not insist it was fixed before it became your companies poster child? Surely when the clutch and down pipes were being installed at AMD months before the charger you would have noticed this leak. That would have been a good time to either have it repaired at AMD or recommend he service this vehicle before it was pushed to a new limit.

I can gladly inform the forum the TTS tune issue has been 100% resolved. All the issues have been sorted out and the car is performing with all the sensors ON and calibrated for maximum output. Both ECU’s are completely remapped and the engine is running the way Audi should have built the RS4 in the first place

Next project: JHM 2.75"

Nice, any plans to hit a track? Would be awesome to see another RS4 go mid 11s

Thanks Saki,

Ya I’m just going to wait until they get some to do 1/4 mile times. In the mean time I’m going to sit back and read lol.

Dave,

no deal…epl told me 9,999 for .9 and we did not talk much after that due to me being in Vietnam.

Steve

just go for something proven, or wait for something that is.

on that note… ;D https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=f0jQEBKSB6s

0-100 MPH in 7.2 seconds or so. Pretty solid.

Tts kit is solid, vicious from 4.5k onwards

do you guys know what nrc did ti the rs4 red line? Left it put at 8200 or did they bump it up?

Stayed at 8200 from memory mate

I believe that they are usually left at the stock rev limit if 8200. Danny’s or dougs car might have got raised slightly to try it, but I couldn’t say for sure.

Conclusion…

Gave them my ultimatum… Won’t show anymore interest in either version of the kit until they release official 1/4 mile times along with their dyno charts.

I really don’t understand how a company developing a forced induction kit doesn’t post 1/4 mile times. I admit I used to say “but these cars aren’t meant for 1/4 mile so who cares!”… the fact is that it’s an important measuring instrument of power and even better when coupled with a dyno chart.

They just lost a customer for not having 1/4 mile results… that sucks , for them. (though of course, I would still have to like the results). $11-14K remain in my pocket, and my quest for proven, affordable power gain continues.

Really goes to show how important it is for a tuner/developer/fabricator to have their own shop car for which they are doing development for… as opposed to developing products on donor cars. JHM truly shines there.

The more I read and try to understand supercharger/turbo systems, the more I’m leaning towards vortech/rotrex being the best setup for our high reving motors. TTS is just way to expensive for me, so that one is out…

JHM, you guys are the ones I’m holding out for… I have faith in the kit you guys are currently running on the RS4 and am looking forward to the results! Especially looking forward to installing the kit myself.

Thanks everyone for the words of advice, I almost made a compulsive buy and am glad I stepped back and thought about it.

Hey, in the end the amd kit may turn out to be great. It won’t be any worse though if you wait a while… So patience shall be rewarded

P. S. Rs4per has turned into a hollow empty marketing man for AMD. really painful to watch. Remember when he promised he would do independent dyno results and would get quarter mile times? Well right about the time he was having Audi pull his motor for an “oil leak” he seems to have decided to never go to the dragstrip, and apparently his dog ate the dyno numbers from the dyno jet dyno that he went to.

He never mentioned those numbers in his press release this morning… But we have video and photos of his car there getting dynod. Totally pathetic. He came out claiming to be fully transparent and big on the side of integrity. Then he turned out to be just another marketing department employee of amd. Epic failure.

You might want to reconsider after you see the product release that is coming soon.

The worst part about the thread on AZ is that no one really cares about the kit performing. Everyone in there hates JHM, saki, jfunkey, jhm cars, jhm guys that made fun of them because they suck at driving( even though they were JHM tuned) etc…

It’s actually quite pathetic and I can’t wait to see what all the talk is about.

When the info does come out…will they say .9 kit or 1.0 kit relevant? or will they dance around and laugh because we “don’t know” and can’t “prove” it? It’s all really a big joke to me.

Looking forward to it… Granted they supply 1/4 mile results with the dyno chart.

And at the price they quoted me publicly on QW… 10k with tune.

It’s also amusing to see B5 guys come out of no where to to support the kit. Last time I checked most of them hate the 4.2l v8s and talk about how they are garbage. Plenty of them have also said they would never own an RS4…yet there they are supporting AMD, while at the same time hating on Axel and JHM.

Specifically guys like notoriousVR entered the AZ thread to dish out ridiculousness…he doesn’t even own an AUDI, let alone an RS4! Mjackson dropped by too…

Notorious vr dropped in just to shit talk axel. He posted on wayot that he was going to do that. Trying to earn some cool points with the 50 year b5 die hard crew on wayot.

‘hey guys watch this! Look guys, look what I did! Wasn’t I cool?’ What a knob.
