I wouldn’t do it because NO MATTER WHAT… if the tuner can’t make it work, it doesn’t matter how good the hardware or dyno sheet is.

EPL has proven that they aren’t good at this. The monster power amd 605 cars and 705 cars can’t even run 11.99 with epl tuning them.

The epl tuned amd tvsr1900 0.9 and 1.0 kits ran like Apr tuned tvsr1320 kits.

Want to know why they want you to get the kit? Because after dynoing and running disappointing times on the west coast, they’re probably ly blaming the gas out there for their shit performance and want someone east on 93-94 to test for them

Next thing they’ll be blaming the clutch and retuning etc.

No offense but you can do what you want. I think it would be great if you got the kit as you will be honest and share great information. That’s selfishly my way of gathering data on the amd kit since amd and rs4per seem to want to fucking keep it a secret. Of course you Will be out thousands of dollars.

Jhm will install their kit on your rs4 for $8500 all in. Who needs amd?

I really considered TTS, until I saw the price tag. Just more than what I would like to spend right now. Like the fact it’s a rotrex setup.

Yea after sitting back and obsorbing everything I was told… It’s starting to seem more and more like they just want to get the kit on my car for testing purposes.

As production… I stated to them “I’m not looking into testing things out again like I did with PES… I want a completed kit where I just slap it on and drive, and I know it’s performing to it’s full potential”… they said the .9 kit is for me.

$10K for the kit + $1K for EPL tune

You’d be smart to steer clear of temptation. If you set yourself a boundary after the last experience I’d believe it is best to follow that.

I’ll be the first to say research the owner of AMD and see how he conducts himself. You’ll be appalled. Then ask yourself what’s come from any of the people associated in building this yet to be proven kit. I didn’t find anything good.

From a logical perspective this looks to be an experimental concept that seems doomed. I don’t think much thought went into this kit other then trying to stuff the biggest blower in a small spot. That seems to be the work of little research.

Also my skeptical side kicks in when a company is more eager to give you a discount then they are to give you actual performance figures that show what you’re buying works

That sounds right about wanting me to be the guinea pig for them on the east coast… hence the offer to dyno/tune my car with 93.

Believe me I will not be purchasing the AMD kit after everyone’s input here. This is why I made sure to clarify with you guys first to make sure I’m not being taken advantage of.

JHM is on the top of my list now for supercharging… now just need some patience, which I’m sure will be worth it.

Agreed… I see that AMD just designed the hardware to be sold to whoever wants to make their own tune for it instead of selling a turn key kit with the best tune possible. Different.

AMD is also willing to give me a 2 week trial to run the charger and will fully refund the hardware only if I’m not happy… But I would still be out on the cost of tune and labor… Still not worth it.

I agree the TTS kit is pricey, probably because it starts life being priced in British pounds sterling with 20% sales tax (VAT). However, it is well proven by one very open member.

Here we see the different approaches to tuning. Vis a vis the JHM S/C for the V8 S4 - their program is very amenable to installations remote from the company like with Axel’s car. However, there seems to be difficulty in getting the TTS cars tuned outside of the UK.

There’s a few tts guys in France Germany and Dubai I think who run the kit with no issues. One guy had a tip S5 his German guy tuned it and I think Mrc tweaked it? Don’t quote me on that though. There’s also 2 guys in the us running a tts kit one on an s5 the other an rs4 maybe contact them. It’s a 10 second car with one of those strapped on no doubt in my mind about it

Ahahaha yes there sweetheart deal is you actually pay more for thr kit and tune then others. Then you pay them to who ever to install it so you can then pay epl to figgure out how to tune it…omfg what a fucking fail…even if they gave you all your money back…you own a 90k car and unless there going to pay you like VF paid ngng or giac pays tyson or pes paid spinner why even consider it.on top of all that every single car amd claims to have success with has blown up…when you have other comoanys like tts apr even vf with the 112 and jhm With the best pperformance kit at way lower price … anyone that thinks of getting involved witb the amd kit is in for more trouble…just like the guy who has his motkr out now less then a moth after getting the amd kit…

Yes. Entry level rs4 kit is a bit cheaper because it needs less upgrades than the b6/7 s4
