Everyone keeps pulling me in different directions, from people on the forums to vendors and companies.

Nothing makes sense because everyone’s claims (good and bad) on both sides of the spectrum make sense and I don’t know how to decipher…

Seeing that video told me, yes the kit has the potential, that’s what I want! Now the question of reliability and testing… it’s questionable… that bothers me now too.

I’m just going to cancel the order, I was stupid to get compulsive again and am just embarrassed that people online get to see me go through this.

Dont do it man just because pes has a few dyno sheets and some lame videos dosent make it a good idea… its not tested pes is just using you… all hype…you dont know how much or how little pes knows yet abkut the kit… sit back and wait there are other options…let them all play out…there are like two running pes cars… let them get this sorted out before you throw your car into a few videoss and a dyno sheet…

Yea tell me about it… I did get schooled because in reality I don’t know shit about this stuff and I’m taking people’s word/advice as honest truthful info. Unbelievable that that’s all the trimming is, yet people are making it seem like you have to cut a large chunk of chassis out.

Dave, you seem to be just toooooo impatient. If you still have the ability to back out, I would do it.

Wait for all of the kits to be released (including JHM’s) and see what you have to work with. THEN make the decision.

Unless you have more cash then you know what to do with and you can change kits without a problem. If that’s the case buy them all.

Good. When all these kits are available and proper data is made public for every kit, you will be happy you waited. EVEN IF you still end up with the .9 kit.

I mean think about it, what kind of long-term testing do they have with these blower setups? JHM tested their S4 kit for 2 years and went through 3 motors before they were comfortable enough to let the public purchase the blower and I can guarantee you that they are taking the same precautions with the RS4.

You are making the right choice by waiting.

I agree very much so. Waiting is the best route. Let all the companies prove the cars are safe at these power levels and that more than 1 weeks worth of driving has been done. Looks to me like the kit just now has performed. I’d like to know the difference between what’s being done to the kit now vs. just a few weeks ago.

Agreed^ I haven’t followed too closely but it might have been the changing of tuners from EPL to UM but im not 100%

If we think about it from a logical perspective <—I know crazy, right? Aviva/AMD has been testing these beta cars or whatever you want to call them for over a year (so they say).

All of this prolonged testing was on EPL tunes…now for some reason in the last few weeks they dumped EPL for UM tuning. This is odd and should be scrutinized by everyone.

This now makes the testing and trial period…start over (in my mind) Anyone who knows just a little bit about performance parts like superchargers and turbo chargers can tell you it is rarely the mechanical part that causes the trouble…it’s usually the safety of the tune or lack there of.

I think the tune switch another shady thing that AMD has done. This means the cars have been tested for weeks, not over a year (the hardware has held up) but changing the tune/tuner is like starting over from the beginning.

AMD should address this change, but I’m sure they’d rather just sell kits to all of the morons who think they will soon have an 11.35 street car…or better yet a 10 second one.

Here is the deal… amd has said they dont like the 1/4 and they shouldn’t because they just proved a 490whp car is faster then a 700whp amd car…so either thr owner of amd has no clue what he is doing or we have been right alll along. …then amd wouldn’t have taken these cars to the track if it wasn’t for us keeping the gates of truth open…demanding more information more proof

I fully agree witb swag…what ever they did for the past few months was only changed because we hounded them foe better real results…Jason@amd knew the kit in past current form was a flop and a big failure…so it tunred into plan b…plan b has only been up amd running for maybe a week or two…who knows…witht the history of amd blowing up cuztomers cars to try and blow there name up it would be a glod idea to see if plan b is really working

The only company going to “fight” for you to buy their kit is a company desperate to get sales. I can’t fathom why its so hard for you to wait 2-3 months to see whats on the market and/or see how current kits are continuing to perform?

Tts is $16,000 now for their 500 whp kit that went 11.4 @ 125 full interior

Aviva is $11,000 for the basic 425 whp kit that went 11.8 @ 118 with the backseat pulled and likely about $16,000 for the big 500 whp kit
that went 11.3 @ 126 with the backseat bench pulled

Jhm is $8500 for the basic kit and don’t know on the bigger one.

Apr is $13,500 for their425 whp 1320 kit that went 11.8 @ 119 full interior

Anyone of those will do you well.

One is tuned by count vohn… JHM… So that’s the one I’d be looking at. It also happens to be a much better price point from the looks of it. And is from the only one of those four shops that is fully immersed in the 4.2 rs4 world.

Hands down I would pick Jhm. I would AT LEAST wait to see what they come up with. There are dozens of b6 guys who lost their shirt buying shit only to regret not waiting for Jhm. There are just as many rs4 owners who made the same mistake and wasted their money many time’s over, most notably including the op of this thread.

I frankly don’t care what everyone else does.
